One thing about groundball pitchers in Coors. The groundball effect on HRs is supposedly already built into the movement attribute, which means all you accomplish by having more groundballs is more potential plays that can make it past the infield- and if they do, in Coors, they will much more often result in doubles or triples. So my recommendation would be to build hard around high K% pitchers above anything else, and like you say, make sure you have outfielders with good range. But just going for GB pitchers alone will be a net negative, if you look at the movement attribute as a separate factor
This makes a ton of sense, I’m guessing with ground ball pitchers it’s important to have a rangey infield as well? Finished doing the first offseason with the ground ball pitcher strategy, so if things crash and burn I’ll definitely look into adding more high K guys. This info is great to have I appreciate it a ton
Yeah, I think that's spot on. Good luck, I will be following while playing my own Rockies save! I'm in spring training 24 myself, so it's fun to se how you do
@@Faye_164 I'll give a super quick recap of my first season: Went .395%, drafted mainly arms. Gave Bouchard, Toglia, Trejo, Montero, Jones, Tovar and Doyle as much time in the majors as possible. Doyle somehow put up .338 batting average (best in league) and 33 homers. This new season, I got rid of Cron, Grichuk, Profar, Blackmon (sadly), Marquez. Stuck with Freeland and Senza. By the way- doing a "draft only" thing, will not acquire players though free agency (apart from international free agents) and trades.
Welcome to the channel! Yes I have done expansion teams in the past, none on this channel yet though. In this series, there actually wind up being a few expansion teams added and we realigned the divisions! Have you ever done one before?
Yes it’s actually a built in setting in the game for the league to automatically evolve as time goes on! Makes for a different experience each time you play!

Hello I am new to your channel! I was wondering do you ever play with the random expansion / relocation and new rules that can appear? :) Thank you.

Oh my goodness why do this to yourself
After the twins series I deserve a bit of torture
The contracts you start with the rockies are awful😬
Such a brutal draw and almost all are untradeable hahaha, will be interesting to see if we can build a good team with those deals on the books
@@Faye_164 building a competent pitching staff is always a challenge but its amped up with the rockies imo
The coors effect is crazy in this game, I’m hoping we can build a good enough staff before I get canned
