DIY Overhead Shop Crane Installation

I have wanted an overhead crane for a long time. This will make it so easy to lift the heavy items in and out of my truck or trailer. Or if I just need an extra hand holding something in place. Looking forward to have this new tool in my shop. Hit me up if you have any questions about my setup.
Check your local Plumbing or Electrical suppliers for the strut. I got lucky and found 2 - 20’ x 3-1/4” strut sticks at a scrap yard for $66 each.

where do you find scrapyards that let you pick your own material out? all the ones by me said they cant for "safety reasons"

This one has a separate area. I stop in when I’m dropping off steel scrap to be recycled from my job sites. It’s on the same property.
