I got interest because of the first scene, the protagonist walking up with a snake girl and reacting as if it was expected for her to be there to begin with, after that I wanted to know what lead to that scene. The ecchi got me by surprise but just ignored it and focused on the story. What got me was how the protagonist dealt with every girl and basically survived things that would got others killed. About which of the ships seemed to be the best one. The one with Mia. She was the most normal of them all. Though my favorite girl, I'm between the zombie girl which name I forgot because of her personality and Dopple (the doppleganger) by looks, and I mean the face, I'm not that perverted.
Fun fact: ALL the girls have sang the intro song separately as well, with them calling the MC different names (e.g. Mia's "nee Darling", Centorea's "arujidono", Rachnera's "nee Honey", etc.)
I knew that there were separate versions, but I didn't know they would have a slightly different lyrics too! Now I've gotta listen to them all. The video I saw with all of the versions was half an hour long.

It also helps that there is plenty more manga to be adapted to anime, so shortage of plot or ideas is far from a problem. It wouldn't surprise me if we got a season two, but I'm pretty sure it's still unconfirmed. One thing's for sure though: if we do get a s2, I will count the days until an english sub/dub with utmost impatience.
