"Joshiraku" was a rare anime based on rakugo, a Japanese traditional culture.
Rakugo is one of the Japanese traditional culture along with the famous Kabuki. I would be happy if everyone could become even a little bit interested in the Japanese traditional culture.

The story of "Toki soba" has been translated into English and can be read online.
" Dekigokoro" is an anime called "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu(昭和元禄落語心中)" which you should watch.

I don't think a lot of people know this, but there is a story that is related to the first part of the song. It is related to a legend in which a baby is name a very long name for the best of luck to come to him. The joke of the story is that his name is so long that it works against him. For example, he drowns in a well because the people who call for help for him waste time on saying his name. Throughout the story, the whole name is repeatedly said which is also comedic. This name is also featured in a short in fullmetal alchemist that is a parody of the famous "what is your name?" scene before the Fuhrer vs. Scar fight

For any of those curious on what this song is about, it's just overall about laughing through anything no matter how hard things get in life, with some folklore thrown in there (first part of the song references a Japanese folklore about two parents not knowing what to name their baby, so they went to ask a priest (i think?) for some names. He gave them a list but they still couldn't decide so they just named their kid everything on that list. So that first verse is just the kid's name lmao)
