I haven't watched ate Joslin's vlog for like sometime, because of busy schedule lol. But seeing where she is now also makes me proud, she inspired me not just doing personal journals, being into stationaries. But also inspired me in life. She is the real definition of an inspiring woman. Ilysm ate joslin keep safe always...xoxo hugs and besos
(1 of 4 from Harrison Lapahie) This is what I know about Stanford University, known as "Stanford". This is for Filipinos from the Philippines who think of going to Stanford. Stanford is ranked # 4 in the USA according to Forbes College Ranking 2021. It is ranked # 2 in the world. Stanford is known as the "Harvard of the West". It uses the Quarter Term System, meaning there are 4 terms for the academic year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), each about 10 weeks long. It is 1 of the 6 "Super-Brand" universities, meaning it is up there with Harvard University, UC Berkeley (University of California - Berkeley), MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), University of Oxford (England), and University of Cambridge (England).
My daughter was accepted to Berkeley and UCLA, she chose the later. She’s on her forth year with zero student loans. If she stays in Cali UC system, she can do her next 4 years Tuition free, thanks CalVet.
(3 of 4 from Harrison Lapahie) The Student:Faculty ratio is 5:1 meaning there are 5 students to each 1 Professor at Stanford. The average Student:Faculty ratio in America is 15:1. The average high school GPA of those accepted to Stanford is a 4.2 GPA (out of a 4.0 GPA). GPA means Grade Point Average. The acceptance rate of those who applied to Stanford is 4% (meaning 96% of those who applied to Stanford are not accepted). The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) range of accepted students is 1440-1570 (out of a perfect 1600). The ACT (American College Test) range of accepted Stanford students is 32-35 (out of a perfect 36). If a student is an International student (of which Filipinos from the Philippines are), they may not be required to take the SAT or ACT. They may need to only take the Philippines College entrance exams and send those results to Stanford.
(4 of 4 from Harrison Lapahie) For STEM subjects, Stanford is ranked in the USA: # 2 in Biology, # 2 in Computer Science, # 2 in Engineering, # 4 in Physics, # 5 in Mathematics, and # 5 in Chemistry. There are 17,000 students who attend Stanford and 50% of them are female. The application fee to apply to Stanford is $90 USD.
I haven't seen your vlogs in a while, ate Joslin! This a new account btw, haven't used my main one that's why I almost didn't recognize the thumbnail. So happy for you, i love you!
(2 of 4 from Harrison Lapahie) Stanford has a Racial-Ethnic Minority Diversity of 57% (very good!) Stanford has 19% International students, 33% White students, 17% Latino (Hispanic) students, 7% Black students, 23% Asian (American) students, and 2/5th of 1% Native American (formerly known as "American Indian") students. The graduation rate of Asian students (of which Filipino Americans are a part of) is 97%. The overall graduation rate of all students going there is 94%. There is no tuition and room & board charged if a student's family (parents) make less than $65,000 USD annually. There is no tuition charged if a student's family (parents) makes between $65,000 to $150,000 USD annually. 91% of the students get their tuition, fees, and residential dormitory fully paid for. The average scholarship-financial aid package given to a 1st time student is $55,000 USD who just start out at Stanford. The average annual debt a student accumulates attending Stanford is $8,000 USD.
damn I didn't know Bandura just died recently. Also, it's been a while since I watched your vids ate Joslin! So I was quite surprised seeing a vlog in THE Stanford!
Stanford is not darn laid back! If a student is a STEM major, you will have to study hard to get a good grade! But that is what the students do, they don't lay back, they study! @@harrisonlapahie3483 I didn't say academics at Stanford is a walk-in-the-park. Of course, like any top uni out there, you need to put in a lot of work to succeed in your studies. But, it certainly is not a cutthroat environment which is what I was trying to say.
Sorry my 4 comments concerning Stanford are scattered all over. TH-cam would not accept my comment as 1 very long comment. So I divided my comment up into 4 parts. Sorry also for saying Nicole Joslin had removed my comment, she didn't, TH-cam did!
You removed my comment concerning your visit to Stanford. I was just telling you all that I knew of Stanford, nothing negative concerning you or your video. But it's okay. Because you removed my comment, I must Unsubscribed you. God bless you, your career, and your future. NOTE: It was not Nicole Joslin's fault. It was TH-cam's fault. TH-cam would not accept my long comment as one; they deleted it. So I divided up my comment into 4 parts. TH-cam then scattered my 4 comments, and didn't keep it in order.
@@JoslinNicole So then I will rewrite my reply. Please don't delete it. I just wanted everyone of your visitors to see what a magnificent university you had visited. I hope my daughter will get accepted there. Stanford University is my daughter's 3rd choice. I will also Subscribe back to you.
I just added it as one article, but TH-cam removed it. It maybe because it was too long. I will divide it up into a four parts and see if TH-cam will accept it that way.
TH-cam has accepted my 4 parts but they are scattered throughout your comments. So your viewers may not understand what I wrote. But that was the best way for me to add it as a comment. I could not make it one article because TH-cam deleted it!
