yeah I found that extremely stupid, I mean they're not going to admit to something, just stow it away and burn it, we found marijuana in a light in a headliner, what did we do, at the time I was like 8 years old, 47 now, we were good friends with the sheriff, he smoked them lol
Amazon heated seat inserts will be a life saver for desert racing. In the AM when you start you'll be freezing cold while sitting in line waiting to go and for the first bit - they're so dang handy then. Also late night prerunning they are amazing for too. Only like $50 or you can get a dorman kit from local auto-part store and they're the same thing. Work wonders and EASY to install!
@@Kevin-ti3rz Gotcha I never thought about the heater for cooling the coolant - I dont need one as I dont have cooling issues, but I also spent a lot of time and money and have a cooler for all the fluids. @thejourneyretold yeah that thin desert air does not hold heat in the night . Working in Vegas and Pahrump the temp can change 30°or more in 12 hours ✓

You picked the right year. It's usually freezing, but this year has remained mild with warm days. I overlook the next dry lake over to the southeast. 🙂
This is going to be so exciting for Rudy & Janelle, and👍🏼 Zack👍🏼 Rudy just don't overwork him to hard, okay he's a good guy 🤕🥺. Be safe until next time hat's off to the 3 of you. ❤ 🇺🇸 God Bless America 🇺🇸 ❤

The interior of that "junk" car" looks quite nice from what I could see. It reminds me of my first XJ,s before it got trashed and looked terrible for the next 10 years And Zack looked heartbroken when he heard there wouldn't be a heater lmao
My bio dad would build a new derby car every year when I was growing up in Manti in the late 90's. He found a few similar little bags. Doubt disposed of them using the pine cone method, he was more the type of guy to smell it repeatedly with gusto LOL
I'm really enjoying the new microphones - I've been using closed captioning so that I can hear what you're saying. This is the first time in a while that I haven't had to use them!
And top-notch management of power tool noises with some nice quiet and cruisy background music. The editing is actually stellar on this channel. Great work team RAD!
I Remember removing the rear defrost window out of a green Cherokee in the junkyard. I can't remember but I think I use a combination of a utility knife and piano wire or a cable made to remove auto windows it took a very long time! I had it installed at the same picknpull! in Richmond CA. I still go to that junkyard! And I still have my 1998 SE Gun Metal Pearl Coat 5 speed XJ I put that rear window in! I Reall🎉y love this Build!
Amazing to witness your remote build... you deserve 1st Place Trophy 🏆 for that alone 🙂 I am amazed/impressed by your collection of tools/gear required to do all this remote assembly 🙂
Should have called safelite to remove the glass they’re really good at it and could probably use the views . The Geep is moving right along , you guys are kicking butt . Let’s get er done ✔️
Welcome to the Inland Empire Rudy. I'm like 1hr 30 from Johnson Valley, on the otherside of the mountain. There's lots of junkyard incase you might need parts. Look up LKQ Pick your part. Multiple locations. Also a street full of wrecking yards on Whitram in Fontana.
@@PaulBrungardt-xb1ey Hey, build a car for a class that doesn't exist anymore. Yah, run right down to that !!
It's not that bad welding to the unibody of these XJs, at least not the older ones. I have a 90 and have welded to it quite a bit. I haven't had much difficulty. The galvanized coating gets entertaining every now and then, but nothing too bad. The trick is to keep your bead mostly on the new, thicker plate and whip it over to the sheet metal.
Where this Cherokee hey Rudy, congratulations! I think. I've done the race there before and heat is a plus. In our car. We went heated seats and found it to be beneficial. When your back is warm you can put up with a whole lot of abuse

Great work everyone 💪🏼 please don’t give Zack all the crap work. He does great but you just never tell him that. Only wining when he’s does less great .
The last 2 Cherokees that I did leafs on I used a torch. Basically cut the leaf eye first, by then the rubber is trashed enough that it cuts out easily. Then scarf the inner sleeve off on both the front and back then there's nothing to keep the bolt from coming out.
It be cool to see DeXJ out there racing the way he drives and builds Jeeps. I belive he’d have a really good chance. Good luck to y’all and dont be scared to get a few new scratches haha. Should parted the Jeep out and sold all that good stuff to pay for the build some. Got some good parts there. Love it tho. I wanna cage my Jeep for no other reason to look cool and say I did it. 🤣

Great job Thanks for sharing👍
Build is looking great. It’s a lot of work. Especially doing it in the desert. You three are good people.

You need a heater for when your stuck in line at a pinch point . Kick on the heater to cool the motor , like Terry Bradshaw in Cannon ball rally.
