- I thought I'd go through my crazy week. Getting sued by Bitboy Crypto. Having my first born son. Raising roughly $200,000 USD to then find out Bitboy decided to drop the lawsuit.
So I'm refunding all the donations.

the fact that he didn't even try to contact you at all before immediately filing a lawsuit against you really says something about him as a person.
and he said it's not about money, but yet, suing for $30k, Atozy and Hannah was pregnant and about to go into labor. That dude is a b*tch and a disgrace.
It also says what he knew about the legal process. Judges don't like it when you jump straight to the court room. Every judge out there wants parties to do every step they can in order to try to settle the matter without going to a trial, because trials are expensive for the court to hold. Skipping the notice to cease and intent to sue steps will just have a judge immediately tainted against your position, since it makes it look like you are trying to use the courts as your go-to option and not the last resort legal remedy that the civil court system is meant to be.
It's obvious what he wanted, he's in a better financial position. So it was never about winning in court but about scaring Atozy. This is a common system among large companies or people with a lot of wealth. Most people simply cannot afford to fight back and before they invest money in legal proceedings and lawyers, they would rather give in and save themselves the costs.
Many cases in which the injured parties would have won in the end have come to nothing because the big companies keep questioning and delaying the verdicts. As long as the small party's financial resources run out in the end and they can no longer continue fighting.
I bet when Bitboy got wind of that 100k donation, he probably messed his drawers a bit. I'm sure his fans would donate to help him too, but Atozy fans came out swinging HARD. Congrats to you and Hannah too - Your kid is going to have one HELL of a story to tell about their birth.

He knew he didn't have shit to stand on. He was hoping to throw his weight around and get a easy settlement to avoid it. He knew he had nothing but wanted to ruin his life. The moment he realized he wouldn't just take it he dropped it because it was bullshit and he knows he'd loose. He knew the whole time he didn't have anything real and was hoping he could just bully him into an easy victory out of court. He thought he could use his influence and power to ruin someones life an career because he dated to question him. It's classic intimidation and bulling. pick on those who can't fight back. But when we all stand together we can take on bullshit like this. He knew he was wrong but was banking on him not being able to fight back. The moment he realized it would actually go to court he has to drop it because it would be an easy victory for the defense. He never believed he was actually wronged. This is exactly how people get charged for things they obviously didn't do because they don't have the means to defend themselves against it. Bullshit cases get settled because the defendant doesn't have the money to fight it. Even if it's obvious bullshit you have to have the money to front it until it's all over. Most normal people can't do this. I don't even have a grand to play with.. without support he would have been ruined. Financially and possibly loose his career. The guy was just planning of ruining the life of someone just because they questioned him. I mean nobody likes being challenged but we need to have control and be the bigger person sometimes. Talk all the shit about me you want it's not worth trying to take your life away from you. I can just talk shit back or be the bigger man. It's disproportionate response. It's intimidation and abuse of the legal system.. it's someone thinking they're big enough to ruin anyone who date challenge them and then people coming together to stand up to them. It's the only way smaller ones can defend themselves unfortunately. Money equals power and power can be used to unfairly wrong people and escape consequences. I wish there was a way to counter a lawsuit like this even if it's pulled back. Like they can refuse the withdrawal and pursue a conclusion anyway once it's been started.. it just sucks that people are able to do this then just withdraw when they realize they can't get away with it. It's like if I try to kill someone with a knife and they pull out a gun. It doesn't make everything alright. I don't get to just say oopsy and ho home. I have to deal with the battle I started. It's just such bullshit that having that power allows you to come at people with complete bullshit then just back off and no consequences for you. Like no it's not just alright now. You tried to ruin this man's life over bullshit and you don't get to just take it back and everything is ok now. If we didn't step up you would have been able to do it. We stopped you from hurting this man and now you get to just take it back and go back to normal??!! Just because they don't succeed doesn't make it just ok what they did..

Tbf, I don't think he is wrong about that. He likely knew he would never file it, and it was just a threat to get a video taken down. He has probably done that dozens of times.
Thing is, it absolutely was a frivolous lawsuit, this specific case was a SLAPP lawsuit, or an intimidation lawsuit, and he absolutely would've lost. Guy could've filed an anti-SLAPP case to have the lawsuit dismissed and it would've been over. Withdrawing the case robbed Atozy of the chance to do this, which likely would've blown up in Bitboy's face and made him look more like an asshole.
Edit: And yes, it doesn't have to be about the money, it was all about protecting face, so it was absolutely about mounting pressure on Atozy knowing he was just about to have a newborn child.

It's a SLAPP suit. It was filed in Georgia, which has a strong anti-SLAPP law. It never would have even made it to court.

Definitely 100000000% being a mother has been the best blessing in my life, I was told I wouldn't be able to have kids due to injuries I got from a past relationship. 14 years later my daughter blessed me. I still get emotional thinking about it. She saved my life and even on the hard days it's worth every minute being able to be her mother.

I feel like anyone who says “I dropped the lawsuit because people noticed I filed it” didn’t really have much of a case in the first place. Fun fact- babies don’t always cry right away. As long as they’re breathing on their own, and vitals are fine, it’s nothing to worry about if they don’t cry. Within a few minutes they may, but, some are just calm. They just play it up for tv this way if a baby isn’t crying right away, you know something is up

Congratulations, this was a bully tactic and while it may not seem like it you helped many others as well. He lost more credibility trying to silence you than what the subject was about.
I really hope there is something you can do to prevent this from being refiled and seek recompense as a deterrent to prevent other frivolous suits. That is why there are those provisions in the law when defending your copyright, to prevent others from abusing the system.

There has always been a section of scumbags who do this I society. If you ever encounter one irl and have the resources, counter sue and make it a nightmare for them. I was priviledge enough to be put in that position, thr pain they go through jnowing they will think twice before they try it again is priceless - bo amount of lawyer fees could ever take that feeling away knowing you did some good for others.

I'm glad this turned out okay for you, but it bears repeating, his lawsuit was a SLAPP suit, and wouldn't hold up in court. Especially because he filed it in Georgia, which has a strong anti-SLAPP law. That's the real reason why he dropped the suit. It had no merit.

I just want to point out that starting around 8:40. Bitboy begins to "explain" why he filed a lawsuit against you. And forgive me if you say this right after but as someone who closely follows law I'm mad about it. He literally says the reason for his lawsuit was to use the law as a tool to bully you into taking down the video. THAT is illegal. And while you may not want to do it, I almost want to urge you to take the money you've received and counter-sue him. Don't take my word for it, maybe consult a few lawyers and see if you have a solid case. But what BitBoy did, AND ADMITTED TO DOING, was quite unethical and morally fucked, for lack of a better word.
To end on a happier note tho....I am tremendously happy for you, not only for having a healthy baby boy being born but also for the bs lawsuit being dropped! I wish your baby boy the best in life 💙
I feel the same way. I'm not a lawyer, but I did go to law school and I would also probably countersue. There's enough online. And as I've said in other comments, he just wanted to bully Atozy into submission. That's bullshit. He pays the lawyer a couple thousand and gets all these videos taken down, even though the videos aren't defamatory. The prob is though, that these creators are mostly small and can't afford a case like this, most can't afford a retainer fee.
even if he doesn't counter sue, I'm sure there's something in the youtube TOS that's against that kind of stuff.

to a degree this is true but in civil matter, the opposite is true. Someone submitting papers to the court clerk and filing, is not a de facto win, it's not even close. Plus Atozy thinking he got sued by being served and if he didnt do something immediately he would lose.... sorry but he needs to learn how to read. The service papers that are the court FILING clearly list a day he has to respond to the filing by, this usually being the day the court clerk has assigned the filing on the docket. Ask any lawyer, a filing is just that, nothing has been decided, and the same lawyer will tell you, youre not offically being sued until you walk into the courtroom on the assigned date on the docket. Up until then there are so many things you can do, hence the profession of an attorney. Often, just taking time to read the paperwork.... i know right? whos got time for that?!?... can tell you everything you need to know including what statutes and precedences are being sited as grounds for the lawsuit.
@@flyguygsm8544 yo kinda crazy how equate him saying he was on a timescale to respond and mount a defence otherwise he would lose to him saying he had to respond immediately, he needed to crowdfund his legal defence which meant he had very little time to make a public statement on the matter, dude does research for his videos and shit I'm pretty sure he knows how to read, he sent the video to his lawyer for clearance before posting. he handled the situation extremely well. also you generally have 20 days to respond in arizona and if you don't the plaintiff can apply for a default judgement in their favour, any lawyer will actually tell you to consult an attorney if you receive a summons. take your own advice and ask any lawyer, or you know google, before you try to look smart in youtube comments
