@Taylor Carrescia - It really is not a lie. To tell young adults that it's worth it to risk permanent injury or paralysis just to accomplish some skating goals is just plain wrong. Don't get me wrong, you can still skate as you get older. But it's not worth it to keep pushing your limits and taking risks at that point. It just doesn't pay off and when you get older you'll regret it when your body is broken

That's the way to go. Thankfully you're not pro so there's no issue. Helmets are fine.

As someone who has rode bmx for a while and skates I can say if you don’t wear a helmet with bmx you’re stupid! slams on bmx are huge and you can really fuck yourself up with pads and helmets

I hate watching these videos and and yet always watch them wishing I didn't after as you can almost feel every fall.
I actually prefer these videos to actual parts.
DaRealCheo I like the RAW cut parts since it shows the battle and what goes into getting some of the insane tricks since I been on both sides of the camera as a skater and as a filmer.
I remember like.. nearly 16 years ago.. first time visiting cali (back when I still skated) and driving past that hollywood high set and just being like WHOOOAAAAAAAAA
Damnit!!!! Why do I keep on watching these battle scars? Like, now that I'm progressing really well and (consequently) having more slams. It's kind of like going through a surgery and looking up for surgeries that went wrong.
Almost like the unconscious mind does what ever it sees, ONLY if the right emotion is applied ( shock, fear etc )

the board he is riding in the first min is dope i bought one like 8-10 years ago and still have it. it has a layer of carbon fiber in it so its alot stronger

When I used to skate, I could land varial flip body varial 9 out of 10 times, flip back 5 out of 10 times, and flip rockslide. Those were the three big tricks I mastered over my two years of skating. One day, I was doing a simple ollie over a small gap, fell backward onto my back, and displaced a disc in my lower back. Now, when I walk, it feels like I'm missing a centimeter, and I have a noticeable limp. It's really strange. Since then, I haven't been able to skate anymore, which really bums me out.
He should've mentioned the one where he ruptured his gall bladder on the crook... that was crazy I wonder why it wasn't in this

@@chrisw395 Jamie Foy and Nyjah said otherwise.. both said they would prefer a slip out over a stick any day. Neither are "always better", but i'd say slipping out is a bit safer
