Schiaparelli and especially Maison Margiela were everything for me, Pat McGrath did a stunning job on the the make up.
Also on the topic of “Dior is back, it’s just at MM”, it felt much like a lost McQueen collection. Especially with the nod to sex workers in this romantic yet dark way
I agree it read more McQueen than Dior.
One designer I notice that is always exciting every COUTURE season is Georges Hobeika, could you please talk about that collection😍
zoe i platonically love you. u introduced me to fashion design in 2020, i’ll never forget ur positive influence on me
I totally agree about "The phone!" ...It's so annoying it keeps you looking. Thanks for taking me with!
Ooo! Maybe you could go over the timings from runway to sale dates. I would be interested in it. 😅
Or the timeline from design to runway. I just wanna know how long these people spend on a single runway line.
Zoe please consider this. Thanks.
second this. that bit about timing was so intriguing.
I’m excited for this!
one of my favourite topics ♥ sending love
8:46 , I actually like the phone placement. It reminds me of when people would rest the phone on their shoulder to continue their conversation while doing something else. Wish it was higher up though.
i literally cannot stop thinking about the robert wun body on the back look… i was stunned it was brilliant! love the video!💕
Hi Zoe, loved the couture review, really helps to listen to you using terms related to the design aspects used. I am not a designer but more a hobby sewist with the ambition to make and design my own stylish wardrobe that suits me. I am at the moment conceptualizing my first knitwear sweater. Love your note book for that! If there was a body template with one stretched out arm in there to visualize more clearly what kind of construction I use, it would be even more perfect;)
Can't believe how lazy I am😂
hahahahahahaha~
I loved the Margiela and the Schiaparelli collections
Thanks for the insights Zoe! Your mini lesson on the timing of ready to wear versus couture was super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
❤ Thank you for giving fashion knowledge to the world. Appreciate you so much 😊
Thank you!
Good mornig, zoe, nice to wake up with some knowledge 😊
Good morning!
Fantastic video! You are very knowledgeable. I would love to see you cover Roberto Cavalli & speak on feathers in the fashion industry I’ve seen it become more popular lately
I’m using peach fuzz in a current collection, it’s looking nice
Awesome!
need a whole video just on the margiela collection !
well… maybe on the patreon to avoid youtube laws
hahahahaha seriously, I was canting in my head while editing, "can't show that, can't show that, oh no not that"
Robert Wun to me is absolutely amazing and I love how each look is its own star, I don't think designers should limit themselves to house codes or similarly like car designers to the brand DNA, because thats always something that limits creativity from going on a tangent and exploring something potentialy exciting! Couture is all about masterful techniques but also raw unlimited experimentation to me
At 17:28 the dress does look costume-like. It looks like an outfit Stevens mom(Rose/Pink Diamond) from Steven universe would have worn.
...enjoyed watching 😊😊 sending love from south africa 🇿🇦💓
Hello to South Africa!
I enjoy your insights. I think I'll look into your other videos, if by chance you don't have videos on this, can you talk about the designers or brands you'd recommend to beginners to the fashion world. All I really like is alexander mcqueen and I don't really know outside of that.
Not a bad idea. I'll give it some thought. No one's ever asked me this before.
That Margiela show tho.
It was hauntingly beautiful.
Couldn’t agree more about the phone on the shoulder, I wanted to move it to the back and not see it😬
Or move it down a little!
I guess the casting directors(or maybe Designers themselves) are back in love with Guinevere Van Seenus and have booked her in few Couture Shows!
Zoe I want to take the patreon pattern making classes and I want to start from all the previous classes if I join the pattern making their all the previous classes will show up or I should take fashion design and lllustration ?
Peach fuzz /pink seamed prominent in Chanel's show.
what app r u using??? thanks
On what app is this?
I consistantly see Romainian Point lace every year, which is crochet. I think the crochet style changes, sometimes to doily looks, sometimes irish lace, and sometimes to Romanian.
Crochet being there is fairly consistent.
Edit: I am always looking for inspiration for Irish and Romanian lace, which is why I notice it consistantly
Can someone tell me which website Zoe is using to get the full picture for the collection please?
It’s the Vogue Runway app
What app are you using to view these collections?
She is using the vogue runway app
You talking about the breasts being too close together is taking me outtt 😂
have your seen Balmain menswear 2024. fab
