U saved me alot of headache and money. Thank u Josh I appreciate you for looking out for others so people like me don't have to go though all that extra BS,
Hey Josh, my girlfriend has a 13' 2.0T and had the same issue, replaced the vacuum pump and it got slightly better but still hard. When it had happened to her I noticed the resevoir cap had fallen off somehow. Thinking it just needs a good bleed? I have vacuum from the pump now so that's fixed.
My brake pedal got hard. I watched some videos and replaced the pump. It was broken inside. But the new one made the car work fine again. But the same day on the way home my pedal got hard again. I checked the pump and no suction.im guessing its broken again but why?
Yes ive heard and seen that too but thankfully when i took mine off it didnt break off into the cam. Just the paddle inside the pump itself. But like i mentioned the brake got hard again and i just replaced my pump this morning. I took off the hose and no suction. Idk I dont wanna take it apart again but may have to
I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu premier and my brake pedal is hard but no check engine is on what should I do, I just replaced all four brakes and replaced one caliber but the pedal is still hard
Change the pump. If it is broke change the valve cover gasket too because you need to clean the motor out which he doesn't show here. This just happened to mine
I feel so sorry for America making the shitest vehicle and I'm driving it hear in Iraq no disrespect but I just brought 1 LT 17 and it's always paranoid to drive it

It is possible that the vacuum line is also damaged. Or that the booster itself has failed
@@joshsautoandcustoms9840 that was my thoughts. Was just hoping I didn’t have to dive into that lol!
Thank You... Great Video

I've heard of the pumps causing damage to the camshaft that turns it and causing another failure.
I truly believe it was a completely bad design.

Just had this happen to my 2018. Chevy dealership charged me almost $1900 for the repair!
Thats crazy I believe it was less than $500 parts and labor for me to do the job.
had this exact problem replaced the pump and now the it has a sof pedal.
Bro what if the broken parts get inside ?
You have to fish them out
This just happened to my 2.0 as well. I see some hoses are getting in the way of some screws on the bottom of the pump. How did you manage?
Can you please tell me what that part number is
I dont know the number off hand. I called my local dealership and had then order it for me.
@@joshsautoandcustoms9840 ok thank for replying and would you recommend an oil change, and this fix my issue great vid
An early oil change is never a bad idea. And I'm glad the video helped.

This car definitely did not have the greatest design
@@joshsautoandcustoms9840 we can say very very stupid mechanical design
