Keep an eye on track tension, like tires, may / will need to be adjusted from winter use to summer use, I own two now a 1 ton and a 1.5 ton. Quick tip I learned from other channels, like yours, make sharp turns by using you boom to raise the front up for less actual track on ground when making sharper turns. Can be tricky for an old man like me ,but doable.
Hmmm. Looking at those.. I’d have to inspect it a bit more but it doesn’t look impossible to cut, weld, and lengthen the tracks. Alignment would be key. Would help with stability with more counter weight. - Cut the drive gear bracket - length to appropriate size - add an idler wheel - confirm alignment - weld/ gusset the drive gear bracket to ensure strength - lengthen hydraulic lines. Probably a 2-4 day project.
Awesome video! I learned a lot. I want to learn as much as I possibly can about these things. Especially getting replacement parts. I've heard that can be a nightmare. Im about a week away from picking one up.
Thank you so much for showing what is inside the tensioning. that helps me to understand the whole concept and easily fix my track. I thought there was a spring before watching your video LOL
Just bought new. R side drive works fine, L side acts like it is a brake. 1/2 mile to house from truck. Loosened a bit. Will check for equal track tension. Saw another video where new machine engine oil looked used. Maybe the same with hydraulic fluid. Will change all fluids before using again.
Thank you I just bought mine I just put four hours on it and now I'm going to jack it up and check for all my loose bolts. Thank you for your info very helpful, and I didn't have to lay in the dirt😂
Another great video. Keep it up and your channel is going to grow quickly. I will start sharing links to your videos on the Chinese mini excavator Facebook groups.
@@thegarageconnection I shared it on some sites for you. You could really grow your TH-cam presence with these videos. These things are gaining popularity quickly. And, a lot of new owners have a lot of questions...myself included
My tracks rotate at slightly different speeds, which means I'm constantly readjusting. Any way to tweak them to get them to move at the same rate so I can actually track a straight line?
Thanks for this informative video. I have a similar mini excavator. I ran into a problem though. The excavator got stuck and will not move. After a couple of days of attempting to jack it to the garage with winch pull, it suddenly got loose on its own and drove at very slow pace though to the garage. So I'm wondering did I have to service the motor with a special liquid? Because this was the first outing upon brand new arrival. What liquids do u use to service your drive motor. i contacted seller and he said the crawler is adjusted only manually with the bolt. So I'm just lost Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks
The teeth rub hard on the Chinese steel top corner as they pass. I saw someone mention clipping off the corner a half inch so it doesn’t destroy the teeth. What would you recommend - do you see this as an issue with your machine?
I haven’t seen this as an issue at all, but I can absolutely see it as being an issue if your tracks aren’t properly tensioned causing slack on the top track
Did you add the hydraulic oil filter..I understand there is a filter plus a strainer inside the hydraulic tank....does yours have that? Thanks for the informative video.
What would cause your mini excavator to lose power on the tracks? My mini would could barely go over a 3 inch bump in drive and does not want to turn while moving.
I've got one with 2 hours on it now. It threw a track today. I looked at a few videos of how to get it back on and before putting it back on I decided to investigate further. I took those roller wheels off and discovered they look like they have sealed bearings on them, but they are almost impossible to turn. Seems like they should spin freely, so I'm going to try and find an answer to that question. I'll try to find a mechanic that knows about these things and can answer that. I'm thinking the sealed bearings need to be replaced on this new machine? So I took the track off the other side also and removed the roller wheels there, same thing. Also the idler wheels at the front, they obviously have an up side and a down side as they are not symmetrical, one of them was upside down and I don't know which way is correct. One other thing, mine has a cab on it and they bolted the cab on right on top of the hinged hood for engine access so that the cab would need to be removed to open the hood. I solved it by removing the hinges and latches and cutting the hood with a cutoff wheel so the cab doesn't prevent the hood from opening. I also had 2 bolts holding the seat fall out already. Those Chinese, I want revenge!
I just got a Chinese mini excavator but I can't figure out why my right side track is slower than the left. I swapped the hoses at the drive motor to confirm the motors arnt the issue. I swapped the lines at the valve body and it swapped sides so I know it's something in the valve body. Have you come across this?
Same issue. Just took delivery and machine would only move on right track. As if R was drive and L was steer. Very slow. After 1/2 mile, loosened a bit. Running engine at faster does help but that’s noisy. I think its track tension not adjusted equally, acts like a brake. I guess use boom to jack it into stands and adjust.
Thanks for the information. I have a similar excavator/ 2024 MIVA va13. I ran into a problem with the tracks. Minimal gravel on/in the track, stops moving forward and partial rotating. Is this common?
I have the same problem as the gravel sometimes gets in the idler wheel channel and gets crunched when I'm moving in reverse. Also larger gravel rocks will get inside the channels and can cause the track to come off. Only had my mini running for about 10 hours so far so not sure if there is a solution other than try not to turn on gravel especially when going down hill or side hill. If the gravel actually stops your tracks from moving, (It doesn't on my L12) then you might want to check the hydraulic pressure on yout machine? Maybe its too low?
@jnelson8629 Thanks for the response and confirmation of my problem. The best way I found was to hose clean the tracks when water was available. Dry, I elevate the tracks off the ground and rotate.
Cool vids, by any chance did you find any grease nipples to any part of track roller bearings? I had to changed every single grease nipple on mine, the ones it came with are shit! I want to order you hydro cooling system but you’re sold out on website, would you have some again soon? Thanks.
I have a problem with the swing motor on the Chinese mini-excavator, which means that when the dome turns in a certain position, it squeaks, I feel as if it is grinding on some sheet metal. What could be the problem?
Hi everyone. I have this style of drive motor on my mini digger. I'm not an experienced digger operator and owner, so I have a question: I've seen a lot of diggers have oil/lubrication on their drive system, but I can't figur out if this type have or not? I haven't located any logical place to drain or add oil. Could somebody please help me out with this?

As my first piece of equipment, i kind of wondered why the sprocket was coming out of the back of the track, but it looks like yours was the same. I went ahead and ordered new tracks but guess I dont need them. Good to have spares anyway though i guess.
Thanks for posting all these videos, very informative and you make the best videos on TH-cam regarding these popular mini excavators! Thanks so much!
Just wanted to thank you for your breakdown and heads up tips.
Great explanation! Can't wait for the next two videos on the oil cooler and fan.

What is the size of the castle nut that holds the drive cog on? I've looked everywhere locally and cannot find one 🙏

Not at all

Both of my front track tensioner wheels have some play. Are they supposed wiggle a little bit?
Yes that’s perfectly normal
@@thegarageconnection thank you for the reply. I greatly appreciate it. I rent my machine out for extra income. This is very helpful.
Cam. Is there a way to adapt a troublesome greased track to mechanical?
Well done. Could use a better mic but solid. Subscribed.
My belts tension via a bracket behind the blade.
My track tensioner just broke somehow. Have to look into it. I did not use a bolt mine hast a nippel for grease.

Just search for 180x72x37 tracks, the usa made ones are much better and probably worth the $$$.

My idler wheel on the track tensioner is already loose and wiggling around. Where can I find a new idler ? Can it be repaired?
Mine has a bunch of play as well on both sides. Not sure how much is Normal... In the above comments he said to expect some play ....
Any Idea where to get a tension bolt? Mine is stripped... QH12

The thing people need to worry about is rotating hydraulic motor. If the gear comes off and hangs up on frame will break the hydraulic houseing.
Are you talking about the turntable motor? The one for rotating the machine ?
@thegarageconnection yes. It was the only thing that broke on the mini I just sold
