Gauthaman Menon said for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu Kamal just did what he expected. Only after sometime he got the confidence so if you are talented understand that legends like Kamal Haasan has also come through talent and seen more life than yourself so listen. Gautham said sometimes kamal haasan gave his inputs which helped the film like the climax where he was planning a ,on fight with Daniel Balaji but Kamal said time is precious to save Jyotika so that long fight may kill her from suffocation on being buried

So sad there are so much hate comments on Mysskin.. He is a child, only if you will understand him, you will love him

The movie was dropped because of a very minor reason. Mysskin wanted a different cinematographer, Kamal wanted a different cinematographer. Mysskin himself revealed this few years back.

Mysskin: not to take film as per audience taste... Not to edit screenplay suggested by assistant directors... Not to implement suggestions of world's best music composer.., need to take a film only based on what " I " think.

Who is a Director?
A Director is a person who takes certain decisions that will determine the outcome as audience we see in cinemas.
This was a definition by Director BaluMahendra, which Mr. Vettrimaran once said.
I believe this conviction is what makes Mysskins films unique.
For example, he could have gone with Raja sir's proposal of using a different singer than Sid Sriram. But, he stood ground. The song was unique. Listening to 'Unnai nenachu' song for first time, even I felt that that is so unlike Ilayaraja.
But, it was something new...a different experience...and that is what I personally think I like in him.
He uses his crew to execute his vision. He doesn't seek their ideas. I don't care whose idea it is as long as the movie is good.
He may be adamant, egoistic, stubborn and persistent, but, he is passionate about his craft of movie making. That's something to appreciate.
