    Good on you for being honest with people about items, being honest about what you do, and offering to let them keep the timer. Things like that will help you build a great relationship with people and likely benefit you in the future with some early walkthrus or advance notices but on top of that, it's better to be a good person.

    You're doing well with the subscribers. I started watching you when you had just a couple hundred. Congrats! I like watching your videos because most of what you buy is nothing I would ever flip. I'm old and tired so no moving parts, small and easier to ship the better.😂 I also like that you do the haul in the same video, you show comps and you keep it simple and straightforward. Good job.😊

    One of my biggest complaints at g-sales is when you find something cool and the owners have to have a conference on what it's worth. Sometimes a "Karen" friend is there as well to tell them that might be worth a fortune and "We have to look that up on Ebay. Usually it is just a waste of my time and I say "forget about it, I'm not interested any more" Also the Karen friend never seems to make an offer for the item. Come on people, it's a garage sale not a gotta make a mortgage payment sale. Just my rant after a crappy Karen filled garage sale weekend

      I'll reveal my secret fan-cleaning method. Use at your own risk, I'm sure my method is not UL approved.
      Plug it into an extension cord and plug that into a GCFI outlet. Turn it on high in your driveway/yard/steps, and blast away at it from every angle with a garden hose nozzle adjusted to a strong cone (not mist, not solid stream). 19 out of 20 will come out very clean (including getting rid of clumpy/stringy dust from even exposed metal motors) and 1 out of 20 will go pop/poof and be dead. Oddly, the more industrial/exposed the motor is, the less likely it is to go poof. If just the GCFI trips, no big deal, unplug the extension cord from the outlet, shake the water out of the fan, let it dry and try again. Do it well away from the outlet, and don't get the extension cord at the outlet end wet, so you have a dry place to unplug it if needed.
      Seeing you do this will freak people out. A girlfriend swore I would die cleaning a fan. Hasn't happened yet, but life has no guarantees!
      If you're a more cautious person, you can use the same method without ever plugging the fan in. The force of the water will spin the blades. Accelerate and decelerate the blades with the spray. It will take longer, but still work. Let it dry however long you want before plugging it in to test after cleaning that way.

      As a friend of mine would say....You can't win with scared money. Reselling is a gamble with the odds more in your favor. You can make excuses all you want and with that attitude don't even think of being a reseller. Remember..no guts..no glory. Stop making excuses.This probably isn't what you wanted to hear but it is reality of reselling.

    Just came across your channel. I have probably put all those things you search for into the garbage over the years. I never knew that people would buy that old stuff. I prefer the old pretty antiques that you probably wouldn’t look twice at.

    I literally said would you do 80 in my head right when you said it 😂. That radio behind your first pickup I’ve sold twice. Both were fully working and had no speakers and sold same day on marketplace for $50. Any that have cd, tape player and radio all in one system sell QUICK!

    Kudos to you. When they said the price of the atari I would have just walked. Estate sales that try milking instead of liquidating are terrible.

      @MakingEndsMeet_JudysStopNShop 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would’ve been scared of paying $80 for the Atari because people can buy the Atari system new and access games online. But then I’ve never found a full Atari unit with all those games before either. I can’t wait to see how it works out for him! I definitely would’ve offered 50 just to see if they will take it.

    I'm surprised you ignored the footlocker, the Radio Flyer, and the blue&white china/pottery, as some of it can be quite valuable, especially if it is Delftware (Dutch blue and white)...!

    • @tangomoggynoengi8518
      @tangomoggynoengi8518 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Radio Flyer (from the looks of things) is about $180 new...so that would have been a good buy... depending on their asking price...!

    You could have gotten at least $15.00 for the 3 way Video Switch Box. I have a 4 way with remote I paid $40 for. I have an old 2008 TV, SNES, Blueray DVD and a firestick hook up to it. I'm a retired old school gamer.

    I don't know why youtube thought I wanted to watch estate sales.. but they know me better than I know myself, it seems. I haven't been to a garage sale in years, but I have a lot of memories going on Saturday mornings with my mom and grandma. Back before internet, when all the ads were in the newspaper and no gps meant getting lost at least once.. Good times.
