There is a slew of QF videos coming out these few days from different channels, you, me, and others. Lol... Yes I love the 717, and I sat in 1F for my video review! Pity I would most likely never ever get in one again.

I haven't flown Qantas for many years, but when I did, I found that the service was very good. I am sorry to hear that they are having difficulties, but having unbiased feedback, like you provide, is important. Keep up the good work.

Very nice "mate" . My first experience with Qantas was on a short B707-138B from Hong Kong when I was an early teenager. I now live in the Pacific NW city of PDX. Many nice beer here :-)

Should have flown on it last year...
But damn Qantas replaced it with their dull looking 737-800...
In terms of pictures & filming i got a above & beyond on JQ811 (mostly because of my JQ a320 hawaiian shirt).
I had a short SYD layover but still made my flight to AYQ.
Sat in the captains seat, pictures. A FA looking like brigitte stallone from beverly hills cop 2....

The QantasLink B717 crew are probably some of the better ones in the Qantas Group - they are probably newer and more keen compared to the older crew flying in Qantas Domestic (B737s).
What's more the crew are looking forward to flying on the new A220 fleet (which will be a vastly superior experience compared to the B717). A few years ago / pre-COVID these B717 crew (pilots and cabin crew) were working as contractors and employed by a separate company (Cobham Aviation). They became Qantas Group employees when the arrangement between QantasLink and Cobham ended after 15 years, so effectively they were 'in-sourced' as opposed to outsourced.
It’s unfortunate for the national carrier with what’s being happening, we need more competition airlines Rex needs to add more flights to Perth Darwin compete with virgin and Qantas and flights can be cheaper
Yup absolutely agree maybe, specially WA and NT flights are crazy expensive!

This is due to many complaints from passengers who are flimed, doesnt matter if the footage was used or not, nor does it matter if it is TH-camr, Vlogger or someone just taking a video for personal use.
Many people don't like being filmed directly or indirectly and feel uncomfortable when a stranger is obviously filming and made complaints.
This is common law in most private space and properties, it is up to the vendor to decide.
Hi mate thanks for watching. As you would’ve seen in the video, I got permission to film directly from the airline. Also, the staff and other passengers didn’t have any issues with it (in fact, they encouraged it).

@@nilskyproductions I wasn't singling you out, I am talking about in general.
I am sure you realise that considerate people in general nor Vloggers/TH-camrs were the reason for this new rule.
Qantas knows its customers service is up to standard and any professional vids made by Vloggers or TH-camrs will enhance their reputation and sell more tickets....
However it is the increasing numer of obnoxious people/passengers, who doesnt care about personal space or show consideration for fellow flyers, who are flying in every other plane.
Unfortunately one rule for all
@@robertlee6338 If I take a cabin photo during the flight I often try to avoid faces so I take the photo looking forward from the rear of the airplane when no flight attendants are in view.

The worst airline ever. I’d rather fly with Qatar or emirate’s but unfortunately need to use them once in a while for domestic connections

We made and measure this food like substance product and it is sort of right - maybe - sorta - kinda - maybe - Theoretically we could have calculated it in 2022, or was it 2020, or was it done by my child when I had to bring them to work during the school holidays and I had to find them something to do to keep them occupied, so I got them to calculate it, they may have done it, not sure, might have been in 2022, or they may have just made a random list with numbers, oh well, they gave it to me and it looks good enough, we'll put it on the bottom of the box, nobody will look there, and if they do look, we'll just say that is when it is was calculated, well um, err, well Theoretically that's how we calculated it, maybe, sorta, kinda.
