Hi ..did you do the hazards-brake-highbeam process with key out of ignition, or key in ignition but off position? Cant read diagnostics, battery indicates 100%

My 06 A8L. My battery died with my truck open while I was using obdeleven to gain access to the green menu and restore my air suspension menu. I'm in the process of changing my water pump and timing belt so I can't start my car. I forgot to put it on the battery maintainer. The key is stuck, the word SAFE was on the trip odometer then the center heads up display turned all read, flashed a key with a slash through it and everything was dead. The battery in the key fob was dead as well. Recharged the battery and replaced the key fob battery. The button beside the key for the release is broken out and doesn't work. When I attached the battery the lights on the dash flash quickly and then they're gone. Turning the key does nothing. I can see the mileage and the MMI is still on and active. The e-brake seems to be working as well as the leveling button on the driver door. The car is in jack stands as well. The steering wheel doesn't lock either. Turning the key either way does nothing. Any suggestions? Can this be done with obdeleven?
When the SAFE word comes on the odometer that usually means your ECU is in Safe mode. But that will go away if u have decend charge on your battery and what you need to do is take the key out get out of the car lock it then Unlock it then get in turn on the ignition a few times ON and Off and it should go back to Normal. If not you have to do a Full scan with Vag-com and rest the whole car…
@@vartolotunoro7240 I actually got the key out today. All the fuses dealing with the kessy and start process, I removed, sprayed with CRC and replaced the fuses. As well as the plug behind the ignition and the kessy boardn then let them dry. Attached the charged battery with the cables on the charger for back up and I heard power from the passenger side fuse box and my chime came back and the key came out. I have obdeleven do I'll do a full scan with that when I get home. I was pressed for time because I had to go to work. Thanks for your input.
Sometimes Generic scanners do not do what vag-com does. Vag-com is specially made for the VAG family cars including. Audi, Bentley Vw Porsche and some Lamborghini. Generics can scan but do not do the full scan as you need to get everything reset on your ecu tcu ect….

A6 Quattro 2007. few weeks ago car suddenly turned off, started to get frequent. it would turn on after either just switching out the keys, or removing the fuses one at a time, or by removing the 40 fuse in the trunk. Then it started shitting more frequently so i would disconnect battery and it was good again. now none of these methods work. when i turn key engine wants to start but wont. i dont think its fuel pump. can it be intake manifold or ...?
By pass what? The only thing you doing is awakening the gateway and making communication available from gateway to all the modules. This problem will continue until you replace the access start

Replace the key ignition switch. I had the same problem. Car was showing "ignition interlock malfunction". You can buy one off ebay cheap, make sure it comes with a key.

You can download the vcds from the Vag-com website but you need the vag-com genuin cable to work Aftermarket cables do not work the same way
on the c6 audi a5 you need the genuine cable as they use the can system

With out key. But you must all time hold lights and breaks and off course hazards must be switch on . If not read check obd2 fuse

Its the Locking mechanism under the Dash that goes Bad It is Repairable. I had a guy fix mine in Sun Valley but he has closed his shop unfortunately

Mine did not work at first. Then i relised you have to hold the full beam on while it reads and then delete codes once you done this release full beam
