Currently using this phone, it's dope. You can download gcam but it's honestly not necessary. The camera is very good and you can get some great shots with it, even in most low light situations. The snapdragon 835 is still incredibly snappy, and the battery life is not bad at all even for a smaller battery 🔋

I had the first Moto x definitely my favorite phone I've ever had I loved the Moto voice features, lock stickers, and hand movement uses. Unfortunately Motorola removed some of those features on the second phone as well as increased the size (my hands are small the first one was perfect) since then I haven't been back to it since.
Its plastic so the screen wont crack, best phones ever for that reason. I had the Droid Turbo 2 as well and loved it. I could not justify any other phone with an easily breakable screen that costs 300 to replace
There IS a system toggle for Moto display. If it is on schedule for dimming it will show up on toggle bar when you pull it down saying that it is on. It does have a pause button to stop it and play button to put it back on. If you want to completely shut it off, you just tap on it then it will automatically take you to that option to turn if off and also change the time as well.

First thing.. go to settings.. change to developer mode.. switch all animation to .5 speed.. and turn off Blu tooth scanning.. your battery will last alot longer and your phone will be alot faster..
Your 1st mod should be besides a "screen protector" should be 2 battery Moto mods. Why 2 battery mods? Think about it. Don't you hate being stuck to the cord, to add juice to you phone. If you have 2 battery Moto mods all you have to do is switch them and charge the Moto mod that is dead. And stick on the other one without turning off your phone. "Genius." Right? So yes the internal battery may be 2730 mAh but if you hook up a Moto mod battery depending on who makes it, (Moto or Incipio.) Your total battery capacity will be more than 3500 mAh. I just like the fact that I can use the phone while a Moto mod is charging, and I am not stuck to a cord. The only time, I will plug in the phone is when I am sleeping at night. Thanks Motorola. For allowing people to switch batteries on the fly while using the internal battery as a buffer zone. No more being stuck to a cord for me. I am going to love this phone for that reason. Also about the head phone jack some phones "may" come with a usb-c to headphone adapter cord. If not. Go Bluetooth...!!! DROP THE MIC...!!!
In the unboxing video it does show that it comes with the USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter. I use my phone heavily at work so I'll have my battery mod on while at work and away from a charger. If I'm just going out to the store or driving around, I can keep a style mod on my phone so it looks nicer. I already have a glass screen protector, the mophie battery mod, and I have a couple style mods on their way. Idk I think people are getting too upset about the battery when there's solutions. Most of the mods include an internal battery anyways.
So if you use the 1 button navigate (using the fingerprint reader). Can you still lock the phone by reading your finger on the reader? Like you could with the previous z force.

Like most people I have no use for bloatware but Verizon threw out one very useful appl. I cannot get the shortcut to visual voicemail on the Pixel. Yes Slacker radio is a waste of space but I would pay money to get my appl with direct access to voicemail back. I see that appl on the Moto and it pisses me off it cannot be installed on a $700 phone.
I'd recommend Launcher3. It's a launcher you can download from chrome that gives you the Oreo version of the Pixel Launcher. It's my all time favorite launcher.

Its not IP68 waterproof (Only has water-resistant material), despite the nice marketing, it WILL crack and screen protectors are still recommended by Motorola, it doesn't even make the top 10 for battery tests, the benchmark scores can't even beat an iphone SE, no headphone jack, no stereo speaker, a free projector because, free always catches peoples attention and they gotta draw you in for a closer look somehow. You could have purchased the Z2 Play for $200 less, a bigger battery, a headphone jack, same access to all of those mods, whose benefits are built into some flagships already. Now, go grab some popcorn and watch a movie on that fancy projector, but make sure you bring along that battery moto mod because you're probably gonna need it. And don't bother buying the $300 camera mod because the actual phone camera is of much higher quality.....bro

I have mine set to the darker theme but it didn't change the status bar the pull-down bar it changed everything else though
It says 256gb max on the Moto spec's. I don't think they'll change that as larger SD cards come out.
