- Curious about the Polo GTI? Find out everything you need to know in this video, including whether it's a practical daily driver.
Is it Practical, does it have Good Fuel efficiency, and does it have Good Drive Quality
It's not a problem using it as a daily car... It needs discipline only, that's what counts the most... Otherwise, excellent choice! 🥂💯
🙏🏽
Nostalgia. I used the 2021 as a daily for nearly two years. It’s fun. You forget about the shortcomings quickly.
The looks and engine makes you forget about everything 😂
i drive my polo gti aw on a daily basis for 4 months now, i can not tell anything negative about it. im enjoying the car pretty much, searched for a model without opf and got one. nice sound, nice medium pops and bangs, nice speeding. sometimes it feels better than a golf must say. anyways im looking to decat mine and get a stage 1 this year hehe. all in one, i can recommend this car.😎
😂😂😂 im tempted also but cant bring myself to hehe
Absolutely love this video. I’ll say, that jerkiness from the DSG is indeed an issue with double clutch ‘boxes. You’re not the only one suffering from that. The other thing that isn’t a winner is the Start/Stop system 😢
Thank you🙏🏽,
True, i just turn it off immediately i start the car😂
I’m a student who daily drives a polo Gti aw , I typically put full tank every week , its not so bad as a daily , note that the jerking is caused by a faulty air flow meter which is common with these cars faulty airflow meter also causes increased fuel consumption … as tempting as it seems do not add pops and bangs on the car unless if you want to repair your turbo every after 7 months
Thanks for this.
Tbf 🌚 i dont blame those who want more pops and bangs
I’m thinking of getting a new 2024 plate polo gti I would it still have this problem
@@zenoplays5083 bone stock , the car doesn’t give any problems , up until you start modifying it, these cars can last for ever as long as the engine is not touched but obviously there will be temptations to get the Vrrr pha sound which comes with lots of problems
I race my Polo AW GTi and use it daily. There are some weak points like the plastic waterpump, heater valve, Pellendrum engine mount (Launching too much will break the fragile engine mounting) . Fuel efficiency is dependant on how you drive and do maintenance, but good nonetheless. 4 years of ownership, only did the above repairs in the last 3 months.
Thanks for the headsup🙏🏽
Great firsthand review. My tank also wouldn’t last if I could launch like that all the time 😂
😂😂😂 i wish the car came with a sponsor from Shell or Engen
I have a GTi 6C, i am not complaining about anything besides the boot space. Its a GTi anyways so you can't be crying over fuel, for me its not bad as i average around 8.6l/100km. Its a good daily car.
Amazing car that is, manual?
Traded in an AW Highline DSG for an AW GTi back in 2019. Initially i couldn't talerate the stiff suspension and the jerky gearbox mara A few months down the line, I learned to live with it. Mine is less harsh because I'm rolling on 17inches. In normal or eco mode with correct throttle inputs, mine is not jerky at low speed
Yes, the stiff suspension is something to get used to especially coming from a tsi which has 16” or 17” and a normal suspension.
The gearbox is an on and off thing for me. I dont think im used to it as yet. The tsi used to be jerky between gear 2 and 3. This one does not do it
Same here, jerky gearbox and stiff suspension, fun car though but had to trade in, 320i m sport shadow, big difference and much smoother
@justindaniel5959 🥶 BMW😍 need to get my hands on one. Maybe i can be swayed.
@@PheloMngCars Smooth ride and big boot, 50/50 weight balance, rear wheel drive,BMW apply brake’s evenly is front and rear , where as the GTI brakes mainly in the front , feels like you gna fly through the windscreen, hill hold assist works better in the BMW, stop/start is better and less intrusive compared to the GTI. Less highjack risks in the BMW, powerslide rear wheels in sport plus mode
@justindaniel5959 i had a feeling they mastered it better.
Any common issues with the 320i?
Consider buying a Suzuki Swift as a daily. It’s cheap and very fuel efficient. Great Video 🙌💯.
Thank you🙏🏽
The car is beautiful 🔥🔥
Stunning
Had mine for 3 years now, the problems i had with it was an auxiliary pump and now it had a fuel smell from 2 leaking injectors.. sorting the issue out .. next week I'm trading it in.
It's a good Car though, no complaints
Anything particular you have in mind wrt the new whip?👀

@Odii43 🥶🥶🥶 🤌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
thank you for video.
Welcome🙏🏽
Speaking under correction, but it seemed to me as if the torque contributes to the jerky shift. You can overcome this with very subtle acceleration but afterall this is a GTI. The 1.0 TSI is very smooth in comparison but has much lower torque and runs the DQ200 gearbox. Found the same with previously owned 6C GTI.
Sadly had to sell my AW due to boot capacity as the pram would not fit. Great car nevertheless
How to turn on that part of fog lights that is LED
Nice video, the car is beautiful
Thank you🙏🏽
Hahaha my G it’s time to get an SUV, I can tell you’re considering one but will miss the GTI on weekends 🤣🤣
😂😂 no ways i love this car.
@@PheloMngCars hahaha you do, but it’s no longer practical for your lifestyle 🤣🤣
For me the believe if they can introduce Adaptive dumpers it would be better, that suspension it is really Stiff…in terms of practicality I think you’re being harsh on it..mind you it’s a small sport harsh back….if you want practicality opt for the Golf’s
When it comes to fuel efficiency this thing behaves like a 6.3L V8 😭but when you put it on Eco it behaves shem
You’d swear the petrol is leaking somewhere when you are on sport
@@PheloMngCars yooh😭🤞🏾bro i once tried looking underneath for leaks
@Ratiemash 😂😂😂😂😂😭
@@PheloMngCars like one “vvvrrrrphaa” 20km gone😭😕
