- So this was a bit of a surprise for me, i thought the DSG with 6 Gears would do something but it proven to have not.
in this video I take a drive around chapman's peak in Cape Town for the views obviously, but also to test the combined fuel consumption of the volkswagen POLO GTI. i also test how good the gti fuel consumption is when you only drive the DGS in sport.

I ask that you drive a full tank on sport mode back home and the next full tank in Eco to compare consumption.
(videos are nice without the face cause we can focus on the scenery that you experience as you drive and narrate to us.
Its also good to put a face to the voice so maybe show face on the intro and outro - just my view)

5.9l/100km is very decent for this hot hatch
I definitely thought the 6 gears would make it worse. But I’m not convinced about the figures 😂 that’s why i need to do a longer drive
Its amazing. I have a Polo AW 1.0tsi and would average about the same consumption for the same trip

Sorry, still at the start if the video. You said late for work. 15km, 17mins... From a GP driver here, That is crawling. I'm often late and my trip is also about 15km to work. It takes me from letting my car warm up to get to work. 7mins+-. Avg speed 200km/h. haha Cause I need to open my building before others arrive so ey, My job is on the line if I don't make it. Of course I drive 200+ very often but I do it safely and it's at like 5am in the mornings with no other cars. Disclaimer also, I do have advanced driving points with courses I attended by BMW, VW, MERC, Alfa Romeo and Audi. So I can handle my speed with competence. Also in Gauteng, That fast lane is the autobahn unofficially. Everyone is doing easily 180+. Anyhow My car is also a 2.0 tfsi. average fuel. But mine is set to KM/L. 5.8KM/L. shell 95. A normal day I get around 8.5+-KM/L but I do drive a manual. And A good cruise on the highway with cruise control set to 130km/h actually significantly makes a difference. Nets me about 15KM/L.
😭😭😭 200? What i have noticed about advanced drivers, they are not afraid to push limits😂😂 respect. Cpt is filled with speed cameras so i cant do whatever i want😂 also i enjoy cruising alot thats why my avg speed is lower. Thanks for tuning in🙏🏽
