Excellent journey and really enjoyed this. Regrettably First Trans Pennne did not retain the franchise for services to Windermere. Electrification of the Windermere branch has reached platform 3 at Oxenholme. Ha ha. Another Northern powerhouse no doubt like Manchester to Leeds. I shudder to think what visitors to the Lake District from China, Japan or Europe for that matter think when they board the train for Windermere now.

You will travel from Cardiff Central on a divert service to Bristol Parkway in a 3 carriage (or possibly 2) class 175

@Turtel mcguire it carries. Onto London Euston but the scenario goes to Preston or some do.
Another brilliant video, Peter, and very challenging. I did not notice any Morpeth boards other than perhaps one each at Lancaster and Preston, nor any AWS warnings. Was this why you were counting signals until speed changes?

Which Reskin did you use for the 390. I used the DPS one. However, I have had no luck with getting that to work.
The Armstrong Powerhouse AP35 Shop page has a link for 'Extra Stock' skins at the top of the requirements section (it's a free download, with no purchase necessary). Amongst the skins it installs is the Virgin 390 shown in this video.

Excellent video, that must of taken you ages to learn.Normally i drive with the HUD but after watching your videos i want to try it without.Can you recommend a route that would be a good starting point to learn?
Isle Of White line would be a good starting point to learn without the hud.

You should do a Route Learning video on the Canadian Mountain Passes route. Around the middle of the route there are two really really really really really long tunnels.

Hi there. First can I say what a great video you have made. Secondly - I have only every played one simulator extensively, that being 'EuroTruck'. However, I would like to branch out (pun intended) in to train simulation. I would rather like to try a demo, before buying however. Is there somewhere that you would recommend to download a deom of this game? Any advise would be appreciated. Many thanks.
Thanks, I really appreciate it! I don't know that there are any demos of TS available. But you can pick up the game for very cheap during Steam sales, so might I recommed trying to do that? Otherwise, I'm not sure what to suggest. I hope that you enjoy driving on Train Simulator!

GG. Must be harder to concentrate on these longer trips without the hud and in foggy weather.
Is this 390 from DTG on Steam? How do you rate it? I like the look of it but was put off by a few bad reviews. Thinking instead of getting the Class 222 Advanced from JT but might still pick up the 390 if it comes on sale.
This scenario uses the DTG Class 390 with a Armstrong Powerhouse Virgin Trains re-skin (a free Extra Stock download from the AP35 store page).
I don't feel the DTG 390 is particularly good but the 390 is iconic for the WCML, so worth picking up in a sale if you want ride the route yourself, use realistic timetabled AI trains or download WCML scenarios from the Steam Workshop.

PTGRail The problem is when I get to the confirmation page it says "browser cannot open this page". So I basically go through all the steps and at the last one I cannot complete the process.

What kind of fucking pendolino goes to Preston as its destination that's northern rail not pendolino
To quote what I said at the start of the video, "we are following the real life timetable of train 1M09, which is the 08:40 service from Glasgow Central to London Euston." This video ends at Preston as that's where the route ends in Train Simulator for now, but that's not unrealistic as Preston is a driver change point in reality.
