Yes, it appeared the holder was almost gyrating in the machine a smidge and did show some tool marks to back it up some. The kennemetal tool line is obviously some of the best their is by demos like this and others with the Harvi 3 so just imagine even with a smaller machine with lower HP how long the end mills will last.

@@xtiz You mean that the Holder is rotating in the Cone of the Spindle. That would be bad news, because then the Cone is trashed when literally metal is rubbing on metal. It will work but will have a huge runout. Had that case with my hobby CNC, which is really powerful and sturdy for what it is. But also doing a heavy cut in aluminium 1,5- 2xD deep, but i didn't obiously pay enough attention to my workholding. So the workpiece shifted just a little bit and the 10mm Endmill jammed for just a second. But the spindle was rotating at it's programmed speed while the toolholder slowed down for one second (because of the jammed Endmill). The Tool didn't break surprisingly, but the Spindle cone had deep groves in it after that. Getting that replaced and everything up and running again was a major headache.

I legit cringed at that 2nd pass. Good lord. It's hard to imagine the stresses going on inside that machine from that. What arbor are you using? Some kind of HSK? Doesn't look like 50 taper.

Does anyone know what this "Harvi 1 TE" is made out of?
And does anyone know what type of metal that is very hard, almost indestructible that could be used on punch tips?
    Thanks.
