Thanks for voting on this video guys 🤍 I hope you like it!!
Your alocasia collection is truly STUNNING (it's giving me a slap on the wrist to get on top of some of mine)!
@@TheJungleHaven thank you so much Claire 🥹♥️
A whole hour of alocasia content 🙌🙌
@@gdeuna5742 I hope you enjoyed! 🥰
Awesome Alocasias with lots of corms. Thanks for sharing!
@@carolstuff and thank you for watching lovely 🥰
Your purple cloak is GORGEOUS! 😍
@@GardenOfKayland thanks Kayla 💜💜
Great video! I was saying “noooooo a corn fell in that vessel!!!” But then you spotted it 😂
@@jennwalser4267 hahaha!! Thanks Jenn 💚

🥰 Awesome video! I learned a lot and really love your positivity! I’m a huge fan of Dakota! So cool that all ya’ll Canadians are so cordial 😂 Hugs from Arizona!
Aww thanks so much 💜 Dakota is awesome 👏 I appreciate you watching 🌿✨
These plants are all sooo beautiful Natasha! 😍😍
Thank you Ciarra 🥹❤️🌹
To help stretch your stratum since it’s so expensive mix perlite(also helps the roots breathe a bit since it can pack down on its own) & a bit of vermiculite & put it in a prop box, works like magic so fast! I root everything this way & over a year later it’s never failed me yet.☺️
@@Oubaitori_Aroids thank you! Do you sterilize between uses? Just curious as that’s one thing that stops me from buying stratum 😂 I like to be able to reuse substrates in between uses but have no clue on how to sterilize stratum 🥲
My Micholitziana, Cuprea and Green Shield are popping off right now! They are living their best Alocasia lives and THRIVING. My Frydek is sizing up nicely as well. My Jacklyn is struggling a bit. I repotted her into pon and I think she went into shock. Hopefully she snaps out of it because she’s one of my favorites.
Woooop 👏👏 Sounds like your babies are doing amazing 🥰 Jacklyn has a hard time transitioning in my experience - just give her some time and hopefully she gives you a big, beautiful leaf 🌱💜
My most difficult Alocasia is the Sabrina so far, it just doesn’t hold leaves no matter how bright or high the feed- it’s been better in my cabinet lately though 🤞. My easiest and probably most loved is my pink dragon, it’s at the size where it’s massive and getting silvery now. I’m obsessed.
@@brookeb9824 oh yes I’ve struggled with that one as well 😂 I finally got it going for me in pon and no drainage but sold it because I was over it 😅 Oooo your Pink Dragon sounds beautiful 😍😍
My Azalanii started doing better once I moved it to my cabinet (~80% humidity)- although I think it just liked the consistent moisture and lower light that my cabinet gives. Mine lives in soil with her babies, I gave some extra babies to my sisters too and those are doing well in ambient conditions (in pon).
@@brookeb9824 thank you Brooke 💜✨ That’s very helpful information 🥰
Love love love your Alocasia’s
Thank you so much 💖
34:38 Tandarusa is an abbreviation of "Tanduk Rusa" meaning Tanduk - antlers, Rusa - deer. So basically they're called Deer Antlers 😏
@@AhmadAsrafHashim aaah that is so cool!! thanks for sharing 💜✨
Agreeeed 10000% with purple cloak such a cool fun Alocasia to own. My Azlanii has 6 leaves rn and it's my record 😂😂😂
6 leaves is impressive 🙌🙌
Hi Natasha! I also have zero luck with Azlanii and I'm done with her. Here in Europe (Poland to be exact) they are rather cheap, even large specimen and so so beautiful. So I tried and I tried and she always croaked on me.
But your Purple Cloak looks amazing!
Hugs from Poland!
Oh man, sounds like I’m in for it 😂 Thanks Joanna, I appreciate the insight 🤗 The Purple Cloak is cool! I love purple so that plant just does it for me 💜 Hugs!!
Variegated alos are sooooo sloooooowwww. At least the 3 of the 4 I have. The Pink Dragon Aurea is a corm machine. I pulled out 8 a month ago and already sold off half of them with roots and at least one emergent already. Pretty sure in another month I'd be able to find more from the mother. They're prolific.
Oh wow!! That’s amazing 👏👏 I’m excited to get more variegated alo’s 😂 One day!! Thanks for watching Mike 🌿✨
❤
Thanks for watching Arleen 🥰💜
I grow my melo in pon self watering pot. Its not growing fast but it seems happy
@@maryperry5910 oooo thanks Mary!! I’ll have to try that next time I get one 🤍🥹
This video was amaze balls!!!! Inspired!!!
@@mychynnagirl1 thank you!!! 🤍
I took my A. Azalanii out of the cabinet and she melted. Returned it to see if the 4 leaves come back. 😢 The A. Regal Shield corms grew very fast in flugal.
@@Plantlifewithnina oh noooo!! Sorry to hear Nina 😩 I hope they come back for you 🤞I need to get me another bag of stratum 😂💜
Omg! I miss my Azlanii so much! 😭😭 My cat knocked it off of the window sill that it was sitting on and it just died! I thought I’d be able to rehab it, but it gave up on life. 😢
Oh no I’m sorry to hear that Jody 🥺🥺
Curious: what is your Pon recipe? Is there a specific video I can see? Also, should get an ear wax remover stick to peel the corms. It’s so much easier. 😊
@@Plantlifewithnina I buy my pon already made and mix in chunky perlite :) 3 cups of pon to 1 cup of perlite 💖
I found a reptile shop that sells a big bag of tree Fern for about 90 bucks. My best root development seems to be when I prop in straight perlite 😂 😢
@@wootlesswocks is it the 10 litre bag? It’s $75-$80 on Amazon and you get free shipping with prime but I know that Northern Gecko sells the 40 litre bag as well :) Straight perlite is amazing for rooting!! 💖🤍
@@PlantedinPlatinum thanks for the tip I’ll check!
@@PlantedinPlatinum it was about 22 litres, and I went back to the site to check and they have raised the price to 130! Stargazer exotics. I’ll check out the site you mentioned.
@@wootlesswocks oh wow!! I hope northern gecko doesn’t raise their prices 😂😅
Regal Shield grows😮 native on Dauphin Island,AL. Is it really a hybrid of those two??
@@mychynnagirl1 oh no way!! That’s so cool 😎 That’s what my research told me 💜
@PlantedinPlatinum it says the same iny as well!! But it is a crazy easy one, for sure. I left it in the garden in a pot all summer & it lived!! It is usually in the 90s here.
The Azlani I just love so much, but after about 2 weeks of being delivered it just shriveled up and died on me. It was the first time that has happened to me.
@@LeafyConversations aww 🥺 Maybe it’s sensitive to humidity 🤔
@@PlantedinPlatinum it would be the first Alocasia to care but possible. It was so gorgeous
How come you pull off the secondary roots? Is that so they don’t rot in water? That root system was huge on the Cuprea.
@@LeafyConversations yeah they tend to rot on me if I move them straight from my aroid mix to pon. I always remove the secondary roots, chop the main roots back and water root a bit before I make the transition 💖
