Had tears in my eyes seeing Phil sitting and his son drumming. Genesis has beeing part of my life since the early 70ies and I still love their music.

For me too. In 2019 with his son he still had his voice, it is gone folks, he is struggling, Tony and Mike do not seem happy because it brakes all our hearts. I am not so sure if I would agree that this was really necessary. It is sad beyond believe but it is what it is. Sometimes it is better to remember these musical giants like Phil the way they were than the way they went out.

I bought a sea foam green squire bullet stratocaster th-cam.com/video/p_TPQmt397Y/w-d-xo.html and I'm a player ,40 plus years. And I will put it up against my custom shops anyday. Can't believe the Hendrix,Stevie ray, Gary Moore etc. Tone I'm getting from that thing. My god it's a beast and a half
it's heavily modded with all new electronics altho with original pickups.
Phil is very fragile.... but he 's still alive. We hope to see him and the others again

I am breathless… and so emotioned… tears are in my eyes… mitigated, to see Phil with such a great unchanged voice but not with his drums… I wish I could be there.. One of the great song ever written et by one of the greatest band ever…
Seeing Phil looking so frail and obviously in pain hurts my very heart & soul. I love Genesis & have had the pleasure of seeing them perform live in the past but... I'm glad this is the last he deserves to rest enjoy his life the best he can due to his ill health he has earned the break. Thank you Genesis & Phil for many many years of amazing music

14 year old me absolutely loved this song for some reason. That’s officially been half my life ago and it still gets me. It’s tough watching Phil soldier through, but if he feels good, good for him. He’s infamously cranky, so whatever he’s gotta do to enjoy himself…

It's okay to get old. Mr. Phil Collins Catalog has been a part of my life. 40 years I've been listening to him. I know He's looking old and rough these days. But, he's Lived a nice life and made his babies and family. I don't have no babies to remember me.

He is obviously struggling and out of tune at times. Not the performance he would be happy with himself. Would be nice to see Peter and Steve for the final outing.

I love the song in the original Em key, but love the sound of the "Elephant sample" in Dm best... it adds such a deeper "growl" and a fuller and darker tone to it. Tony did a great job in 2007 with it, going back to the original Emulator sample and re-doing it to this key.

No Son Of Mine has always been in Em. They only lowered it to Dm in 2007 for the tour to make it easier on Phil's voice.

Decades of amazing music. Almost every song he does he puts his heart into it. Unlike most albums where there are only 1 or 2 good songs and the rest are Eh. Almost every song on every one of the albums are great.

@@maxg.-musician02 Why not? Because he’s a professional musician, that’s why. He gets paid to play music, that’s why Fender Strat’s are made in the first place, for people like him. Fender Squier’s are “budget” guitars manufactured in China by the Cort company for Fender and the working conditions for its workers is deplorable, search TH-cam about the workers protesting Cort, it’s pretty messed up.
Squier’s are “budget friendly” (Cheap) guitars for you and I, we’re not professional musicians (at least I don’t think you are 😉). Look at some of the videos on my channel, I use to be a “Roadie” for the Rock band “Tesla”, I kinda know guitars and the “industry” of it and have played in bands as well. I’m not a world renowned musician, I enjoy playing guitar and own a few nice guitars but I don’t own any Chinese guitars at the moment, right now an $800 Kramer guitar hangs above my head, $800 buys FOUR Squire Bullet’s.
I’m not hung up on WHERE my guitars are made, I know it sounds like it, but China isn’t known for their quality instruments, they can and do make great instruments but they are made to a price point, again they are “budget friendly” and not something meant for a millionaire musician in a world renowned band that has made millions of dollars. I know… much of this is “personal preference” and maybe he just REALLY liked that guitar, or it really is a made in USA strat that Fender put “Squier” on it’s headstock because he is endorsing Squier guitars. It happens in baseball, a player will have a glove with a cheap brand and model stamped on it because he is endorsed by that brand but in reality it’s a high end Japanese hand made glove with expensive high-end leather made in a little shop in Japan. It may have a sub $200 brand stamped on it but a baseball player needs to have high end equipment so he’s really using a $1,000+ glove on the field.
Phil sounds brilliant here and seems to be getting better as the tour goes on. Hoping my Toronto show is a go!

Only Genesis could do this. Only Phil could do this. Sit in a chair with a little table setup, like he's relaxing out in the back yard ... and yet charge people to come and listen to him singing a bit out of tune. It's surreal, even ridiculous, but in this context, it makes sense.
Wow how ugly of you to say this. He sang this song great, the band sounds great. He is sitting because the man can barely walk due to his back and other health problems. Is he supposed to sit on a throne for you to be content?
