Jew was one of the tightest and most consistently good specials I've seen in the past decade. You could tell how much work went into it. It's excellent. I rarely go back and watch a comedy special again, but I've watched that one 3 times.
I’m a swiss guy who fell in love with Iceland and visit yearly since 2018. My best moment was solo tripping in Summer, last september, driving from Vik into a campsite, sleeping in the car in between few campers: I popped a LSD blotter, put a full Patrice O’Neal nopie compilation. Never laughed so hard in my life from the car, probably cemented some of local folklore beliefs in the campsite with my absurd laughs, but switching from humour to one of the most gorgeous campsite in the world.. This podcast is really great, Ari. Definitely better than the same old comedian podcast we have enough of those. I actually feel like i learn something new about a different place each episode, and i enjoy it a lot so far. Please keep em coming, Ari.
@arishaffir you be trippin is amazing! My fav pod now. Great idea, and you seem happy to do it and genuinely interested in hearing about the guests’ stories. Keep it up!

I just got back from solo backpacking central Japan for two and a half weeks. It was my first time traveling outside of America and I credit Ari and his interview with Henry Rollins for giving me that energy to just go do it. I feel like I've leveled up. I arrived in Tokyo with no plan, just loose ideas of where I wanted to visit. I ended up going Tokyo (Oshiage, Shibuya, Shinjuku), Nagano (Zenkoji Temple, Snow Monkey Park), Kyoto, Osaka, Nara Park (Deers EVERYWHERE), back to Osaka (favorite city imo bc Harukas 300 and the aquarium has whale sharks), Mt. Fuji (Lake Kawaguchiko), then back to Tokyo. I downloaded episodes of Henry's KCRW radio show and listened while I walked. He's the man. I think Ari's pod with him is top 10 ever recorded.
