Nobody with brains would buy this to learn to play real drums. It's kind of similar to if you had said that people buying an origami paper plane kit would fail to fly a real plane if they only knew the mechanics of the paper plane.

I got these as a gift. Take the difference between acoustic drums and older electric drums (from a decade+ ago,) then multiply that by like 8 or 10, and thats about what these feel like. They also dont have a setting to flip the position of the drums from a legt-handed player such as myself. We returned them.
Well, we lived in our RV for maybe 6 or 8 years, so the idea of being able to have a mobile way to play drums drums quietly was really appealing. So far, the closest thing I've found is the Roland vdrum TD-1KPX2

Saw a Reddit post the other day about some dude trying to return a defective set of sticks that were sold to him, and instead of just taking the L and giving the dude a refund, this company INSISTED that the guy was just “doing it wrong”. Email after email, they just kept suggesting “did you try playing it right?” 😭 just knowing that much about the customer service should make anyone question the legitimacy of this product
Lmao of course it different, no one claims it can replace real drum practice. But it would be a cool novelty to practice when ypu absolutely cannot make noise.
If used properly, i can see these making you a better drummer. It'll force you to use muscles where before you used rebound. That could greatly improve your control skills.

These would be great to use when going away for holidays and travelling in general, can take them anywhere, but of course wouldnt replace a real set. Im wondering though, with the tech itself could they be made even smaller to be attacked to the finger tips of your hands so that you could make beats tapping your fingers, that would in my eyes create and entire new live experience.
