    • @perfectomprg

      The justice system is desperate to hold on to judges. There are too many laws, too many punishments incentivized by making money over making justice. Too many police to enforce too many laws. So the result is to keep bad judges and bad cops in because it keeps that bad system going and no one decent wants to do it anymore.

    • @luck484
      @luck484 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I can relate to how you feel. However, It doesn't seem fair for you to say or assume that the "judge abuses his powers, presumably for his whole career." As I hers the story the cases were from 2019 to 2021 and judge had been on the bench since 1995. I am guessing the judge's frustration increased over time. Removing the judge from the bench seems like the right move. I am wondering that with the "2021 the Ohio Supreme Court's disciplinary Council accused," why the judge was on the bench in 2024. That is a problem from my point of view.

    • @Marynicole830
      @Marynicole830 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JoBo-ug6tf this happens all the time with probation and child support. My husband caught a charge when we were homeless for shoplifting 20 bucks of Food. He got probation but we couldn’t keep up with the fees for that and the cost whenever they ordered a drug test (and they do that whenever they want. Sometimes every visit at 150-600 a pop depending on the type) I also knew someone who got divorced but couldn’t get food stamps without the state going after her ex. He already gave her what he could but having to pay a certain amount through the state would just get him put in jail where he couldn’t pay anything, leaving her without someone to help watch the kid and pay for diapers and stuff. Both her and him were in a certificate program to get better jobs and her words were ‘ my success is my daughter’s success. His success is my daughter’s success. The better off both of us can be the better off she grows up’. Aggressively going for child support from deadbeats is one thing but so many situations just don’t fit that mold. These two were still good friends, he just had a lot of mental health issues like schizophrenia and ptsd and had to get himself straight. PTSD turns people into completely different humans during triggers. It’s heartbreaking and it has a place in my marriage as well. Thankfully my husband got help before we divorced.
      Anyway jailing people over not paying fines keeps you from being able to pay them.

    Now in the name of Justice that judge should have been subjected to the same treatment, jailed at least the time they were jailed, fined at least what they were fined and humiliated in public as they were. Given a sign and made to stand on the corner each day, stating he is a poor excuse for a judge.

  • @CraigGrant-sh3in

    So he really received no punishment since he'll be retired before his suspension ends. Retirement aside, if he is suspended for 18 months and could have six months of that suspended if he doesn't get into any more trouble, how does one do something wrong if he is suspended? No real consequences. Im shocked
