Since I don't know the levels of all 27 felonies he pled to, it's hard to come up with a number. If they're level 5 or above, he'll do 75% of his sentence, which means he only serves 9 years. With time served, he could be out in 8. That's based on the fact that his plea deal doesn't require him to do all 12 years.
He is everything the judge said he is. You would have never know the same person on the show 60 Days In was the same person who committed all these crimes. He fooled everyone all while having power.

The Judge clearly explained that the Indiana appellate court would most likely reverse a harsher sentence. I think the Judge did what he could under the circumstances.
Disappointed in the judge. I thought he was a straight shooter until this. As the father of a LEO, this decision adds fuel to the fire of two different tiers of criminal justice. Had a 'citizen' pulled half of the crap this POS did, we'd be looking at double the time - and we'd get it. My boy and most LEO's simply protecting & serving deserve better justice than this. They deserve better from the system that they risk all every day to protect. We as a society deserved better and once again, the system failed.

I will not deny that there are a few bad apples spoiling the barrel. I won't argue there are departments all over the country where it's more than just a few and many of them should be punished for their actions, or inactions for violating public trust in not reporting criminal behavior of other officers. But to be disappointed in someone attempting to enter that profession without knowing anything of their personality, or character is absolutely reprehensible. We still will need police officers as long as people have free will. This judge truly has no personal support for Noel whatsoever, and has demonstrated from the very beginning(to the extent he could w/o getting in to judicial impropriety issues), his contempt for Noel. It appears that the judge was sincerely concerned that if the sentence was longer than the 15 years given, it would have been open for appeal to higher court and possible reversal - and no one wants that. States have very-defined sentencing guidelines for specific crimes, and sentences are "weighted" by a number of different factors that are hard to understand by the public in-general.

Foe those berating this judge for the sentence given, your anger is misplaced. This judge truly has no personal support for Noel whatsoever, and has demonstrated from the very beginning(to the extent he could w/o getting in to judicial impropriety issues), his contempt for Noel.
It appears that the judge was sincerely concerned that if the sentence was longer than the 15 years given, it would have been open for appeal to higher court and possible reversal - and no one wants that. States have very-defined sentencing guidelines for specific crimes, and sentences are "weighted" by a number of different factors that are hard to understand by the public in-general.

I’m going to be honest I was ready to accept what ever sentence that judge was willing to give me just based off that speech …. 😢 then I remembered I wasn’t the one he was talking too

The judge saying he failed as an uncle and brother because of what he did to the family but i don't understand why he'd say it because he hasn't been charged or proven. That would be appealable i would think 🤔
