This band was always pretty good. They do many variations SO well. And their clean/heavy transitions are on points. Good vocal range and chuggy and groovy guitar works.
dude the dream is dead is my favorite EP of all time, it's got 2 perfect songs and i can't tell you how many times I listened to that. also the previous album Dark divine was such an incredible record. maybe it's not super heavy but it's heavy and every song has a perfect chorus that melts your heart. actually i still have this album on repeat, even though i have hundreds of other albums on my phone.
Fun story about these dudes.. an old band I was in opened for them once in edinboro pa and my strap snapped halfway through our set and one of their guitarists came up on stage and duct taped the strap back together for me while I kept playing! Super cool of him to do that for me.

You should check out the band In Mourning, specifically their song Black Storm. Dope af song, gets pretty heavy but also balances everything out with some softer melodies. Really well composed IMO

this song sounds like When We Don't Exist/An Eye For An Eye era LMTF mixed with the modern Prog/Djent Architects/Wage War (Bluperints & Deadweight) sound. I'm here for it. I want a whole album of it. Dark Divine was good, but AEFAE really is this band's shining stand out project. If the new album sounds like this it will be their best for sure.
The vocalist Chris actually used to be able to do lows very well. He was in a christian post-hardcore band where he could showcase it pretty well. Obviously if you listen to LMTF music hes not a Christian anymore and much of their music is about his loss of faith, but it is cool to hear him bringing back some of his older vocal styles. Check out AGRACEFUL - A Prophecy in Reverie, if anyone is interested in hearing his older lows.

I think going soft is still mainstream, but bands are starting to realize that you're not gonna stand out if you dont go heavy again. I'm all in for the heavyness!

LMTF has always had great cohesion between drums and guitar. They've always been one of my favorite newer metalcore bands for that reasons.
