Always nice to spend a half hour with you delightful folks. Never less than thoroughly professional filmmaking and interesting subjects. Even the boring stuff is fascinating - a neat trick.
You two will probably remember Jacque Cousteau's early submarine habitat experiments in the Red sea. They were pressurised with a moon pool entrance for divers ... the work was pioneering for prolonged diving 🤿 without needing to do depressurisation stops. The advantage at depth is most of the time you are free of all but exceptional wave action.... There are a couple of shore pier mounted diving bells or elevators, they stay at atmospheric surface pressure and the air is circulated by fan ducts to the occupants.
Great post my friends. Those pods were very interesting. Seems like a viable living alternative. Much love, care and blessings to you two. Happy Holidays! 💛😇 🌞🌴⛵
So interesting to see pods…love your tunnel trip & floating pic of u 2. Really appreciate how u give us experiences…this year has been a full one for u and just want u to know … its awesome for us
Not mentioned here but Linton bay has a decent chandlery for the size and a sail loft as well as a decent carpenter and 2 welding outfits and a fuel dock. There is a little market where you can get a reasonable selection of food, a few places to eat, and a quick market plus a place that sells booze and dish soap and the like. There is an ATM as well so you can get cash which is not available in the San Blas so if you are short this is handy.
There are several protected anchorages on the way incl. Green Turtle Cay which is slightly before Linton bay and then several others before the entrance to the canal. Not much once you get past the canal entrance. Linton is in an area where there are two currents meeting so in rough weather it can be very bad getting into the bay. In addition there are quite a few derelict boats anchored there and a few that have ended up on the shore. These are a hazard.
I would recommend spring band clamps instead of screw hose clamps. The reason these are used in the OEM automotive sector is that they retain the same force regardless of temperature.
Great episode! What a great adventure to motor through the mangroves and swim in that cool, crystal clear water! Thanks for pointing out the lock on your rod holder! Very nice. Liked your choice of music, too! You guys both look like you've gotten A LOT of sun! I'm going to send you some sun screen. I'll ship it to the Cayman Islands. Do you have the ability to hoist a 55-gallon drum onto the boat? Happy holidays. I'm looking forward to your next adventure!
They all come about from people moving from one place to another like the goat tracks you'll find through the gorse on a hillside. There's a big section of mangroves between two villages so I guess boats have gone that way for a very long time.
Again, nice vid. Watching you close. You are in the area I am heading to from Key West in the spring. You guys stopping in the Fl Keys by chance? Would love to show u around or give tips. Good job.
Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas! 🎄🥂🇨🇦

Cayman islands. Fantastic diving. Everything else super expensive except fuel.

Yes the sun is relentless, very odd for us Brits just before Xmas!
Great episode. Thank you. Could you please post the make for the fishing rod clamps. Have a Merry Christmas ( in the floating bars !) 🎄😊
I actually just picked them up from a chandlers in Grenada, but I've just had a look and they have 'Railblazers' written on them
ARe the mangrove tunnels man-made or they just form that way naturally?

@@svfairisle oh, I wouldn't have guessed that, but makes sense. Have a Merry Christmas !

A beautifully produced episode. Thanks. Why only 72K subs? Can everyone tell someone about this channel please?
It was nice having pizza with while you were in Linton Bay. Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Rich, hope you're well. Are you going to make it to Bocas for Xmas?
Where’s the Tesla truck
The first pod had no food in the fridge.... the owner clearly rarely stays there despite what he says.
He lives there. Often a cook will come in
Is this libertarianism realised?
