Im interested in this because I have 2 wings ready for cover. Now if your not shrinking the second layer will it shrink when it sits in the sun on a dark color airplane?

We have had no reports of any issues with shrinking from the sun. I have seen finish tapes do that, but never a double cover. There is so much glued area, I don't think there is any way it could ever move.

Thanks for the video John, any chance we could see the finished product with the topcoat?

Terry, John said he will have some pics and video of another set coming up soon! He's working on covering another one! Also, keep an eye on the Stewart Systems Facebook page and John's also. John sent me pics of a double cover wing, so I'll post that on our Facebook page. It may not be the same one, he's done quite a few now.

What was the reason behind covering the top first? Wouldn’t covering the top then the bottom leave an exposed seam on the top of the wing? Vs covering the bottom then the top and having the seam on the bottom? Looks like an awesome system and will definitely be using it when I hopefully build a kit plane one day. Thanks!

On a high wing like a cub the seem would be less visible on top as most people are not tall enough to see it without a ladder. But it's just a preference.
