It’s a nice one. For those wondering how to apply it, you can just swing cut the bottom card on top of their chosen card. Now you know that their card is next to the peek card. 👌🏼 Works great with a lot of tricks where you look through the deck. (Although I prefer the riffle peek using the step. You should do a tutorial for that one!😛)
this is a super basic move, but I really do use it both in my amateur magic and my professional. Like you said you can use the peek as a key card, you can peek that card and force it to them, I often use it to know the orientation of my stack when I've been doing a few tricks with it. Options are as far as the imagination allows. As for the riffle peek, dude, I love that peek. Suuuuuuch a nice and easy way to peek a card that is chosen in the moment. IDK if I'll teach it here on this open for all channel, not because I want to keep it for myself (I wish I could teach everything I know) but I use it so much professionally and I don't want regular people that hire me and see my magic to just go on my YT channel and see how things are done. And the nature of magic is that it's secret, so this whole tutorial thing is a sensitive subject. But I'm trying to figure out how to do this to inspire beginners and point them in the right detection. :)
