    Karen, some people can make magnificent recipes. Other people are masterful at video production. You are the only one who single-handedly can combine both skills to the highest degree! Here, you did it again! The bonbons look too good for words. The beauty of your scenes are unrivaled on TH-cam! Congratulations on another sterling video!

    Well done, I make them for church on Mothers Day and they are a hit. I've tried using "melting chocolate" but the taste is a bit off from some brands. Your idea of adding coconut oil to regular chocolate chips is a great idea! Ghirardelli chocolate melting chips (no coconut oil necessary) also are first rate in case anyone wants to give them a try:) Thank you for doing such a good job...

    I will definitely be giving this a try. I don't like Christmas and I don't abide by the "foods to be made around the holidays" rule. I'm a year-round eater. But I do like and appreciate the fact that you list all of your ingredients, both in the video and the description. Too many TH-camrs will post a video, but you have to click on a link and visit their website to get the actual recipe.

    I used to make these with my mom growing up! No one has done them in years, but I’m definitely going to bring them back. We would dip them and then lay an almond on top of each to set in the chocolate. Once set, we’d just go back and spoon a dab of chocolate over the top of the almonds, and then you have homemade Almond Joy bites.:You could also just dip the tops again, using the toothpick method in the bottom instead,, but we spooned it to avoid fingerprints. Back then we dipped our balls with forks the first round..:))

    • @RainyJo715
      @RainyJo715 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      P.S. Remember to toast your almonds before using them, if you try this. It makes them so much better! :)

      Did you make them? I always am bummed out when the teacher forgets to show us what the end result looks like when someone opens up a candy or slices into a serving of lasagna or a banana bread or pie...I need to see the texture the bite ...maybe it's just me? I'm a show me person I've made so many recipes that looked great and I've gone out and purchased all these ingredients only to make a re Ile and end up throwing everytghing in the trash but i agree with you that mixture looked so fluffy and not overly sweet..my mouth is still watering even after taking this time to ask you if you made it if so what's the verdict...I think I could eat the filling with one spoon and then take a spoonful of the chocolate until all ingredients have been consumed in their entirety..lol let me know if you have made them I have all the ingredients ready to go on the kitchen counter...I just don't want to waste them they cost some bucks here in california.over 20 bucks which is alot for candy if it goes south it kills me to toss anything I've kind of splurged on thast we didn't actually need but wanted for a treat..mouth still watering I love coconut and I think chocolate should have been my middlle name lol. Thank u for ur post it cracked me up. Great sense of humor!

      You can use a little bit of vegetable or canola oil which helps thin the chocolate for dipping. You can leave it out if you want to but the chocolate will be a thicker coating.

    I would melt my chocolate and shortening over very low heat in a double boiler. IF by any chance you get your chocolate too hot it will get that gray look to it. It doesn't hurt it, but it's not pretty.
