41 year old man who took a multi-year break from pokemon before the switch era's opinion: Lets go Pika/Eve - 9/10 : I never cared for the Pokemon Go app, never understood the appeal, but for some reason the switch version hit just right for me, most fun I'd had playing a pokemon game in well over a decade. Some of that is probably gen 1 nostalgia, but I actually really liked the alternate catching method over just battling, and catch combos to level up was also a fun alternative to the same old grinding the original series had burned me out on years ago. Seeing the manga characters, Red, Blue, and Green was also awesome. It was a little on the easy side, but that just allowed me to use garbage pokemon I normally never use and thus if anything upped the fun. Sword and Shield - 3/10 : I didn't finish this game, there was a lot of potential here, but it felt like a step back after Lets Go, and just didn't keep my attention. Didn't really care about the national dex, so that didn't bother me, but the wild zone or whatever it was called felt like what the whole game should have been. They had good ideas, but they played it too safe and resulted in a game that feels unfinished and under baked, and for me just wasn't fun. Diamond/Pearl - DNP/10 : Didn't buy them, given how hated they are probably never will but I guess we'll see. Legends - DNP/10 : Wasn't interested in this but I've heard good things so might check it out some day. Violet/Scarlet - 9/10 : Graphically this game looks like absolute trash, and some how despite that it also performs like trash. But the gameplay is everything I've been wanting from a pokemon game since red/blue. Really REALLY fun. Only reason its not ahead of lets go is at least lets go looked okay.
I was Yearning for Yellow during the Darkest Part. I got to Respire afterwards since there did come Better Days. The old one are now Masked on top of Rock Rock Mountain.
I do appreciate how they're becoming more experimental now. I think part of the reason Scarlet and Violet ended up the way it was was because it was the biggest leap for the franchise yet (well and the development crunch DURING a pandemic to).
The big problem with fk sword and shield is lineair routes looking really fk bad and other towns with so much potential like the fairy town are so fk small and useless that’s why most people hate it including myself also yeah dynamax was fk boring and all new legendarys of the base game are shit
Yes other than that the art style in sword is gorgeous but yes if they fix the linear problem but don’t make it too realistic where it becomes a laggy lighting mess like gen 9 was and keep it as fresh as let’s go graphics and crispness wise then they would have a hit but I don’t know what’s up with all this half ass ness at almost 100$ for the two gens with DLC like wtf! Hope they can redeem themselves soon lmao they are loosing their magic
It's only around $60 for both parts of the dlc in both games but that's still fucking stupid And finally someone's not hating on sword and shields graphics but yeah the linear routes was something I messed up not including in the video now that I think about it
WOW THIS IS POPPING OFF 638 VIEWS IN 2 DAYS TYSM :D

Sword and shield hate goes crazy but you should absolutely try Arceus it's amazing ( I haven't even beaten it yet)

Yeah that's reasonable I didn't really think of it that way cuz the pandemic wasn't over till sometime in 2021
Idk man. BDSP gets way too much hate
They really weren’t that bad.
Yeah they are very odd idk if I hate them or don't find them special
Wait aren’t remakes the game but more modern?
Yes they are the exact same fucking game (if you're referring to bdsp)
