They call me the best Sekiro player (no one’s calls me that)

- I recently just beat Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3. I also did a pole on what game I should play next. Out of Elden Ring, Sekiro, and Bloodborne. Sekiro won. So now its Sekiro time.
(Part 2)
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice[a] is a 2019 action-adventure game developed by FromSoftware and published by Activision. It was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in March 2019, and for Stadia in October 2020. The game follows a shinobi known as Wolf, who attempts to take revenge on a samurai clan that imprisoned him and kidnapped his lord. The gameplay is focused on stealth, exploration, and combat, with a particular emphasis on boss battles. It takes place in a fictionalized Japan during the Sengoku period and makes strong references to Buddhist mythology and philosophy.

who else is jealous of this man spending 30 mins on bosses while some of us spent 40+ tries
Am not even gonna talk about how long it took me to beat Gyobu
@@kachebele_phiri I guess it'll almost be like that on every first boss u try... Cuz I died to Lady Butterfly at least 20 times before I face Gyoubu only in first try
@@jemynathanael1437 i beat lady butterfly in 3 but gyobou took took me like 4 hrs
@@omegaz9860for me it was the exact opposite. Lady butterfly had more attempts than isshin for me but gyoubu took me like 5 tries max
Try 100+
Don't forget the Owl Father fight. You can fight in his prime if you go back to the Hirata Estate with the sakura branch.
I did that for fun And Ended the game with Dragons homecoming
@@y0g111 I did that because i wanted to collect all the beads on my first playthrough and also wanted to fight all the bosses obviously and then i went on new game+ to fight enma and isshin asshina .
@@andrei-cezarbleaje5519 just like me
@@y0g111Dragons homecoming was my final ending tbh I liked all of them though.
You missed the hardest boss, owl father flashback
Not gonna lie he is actually really good at the game, isshin 9 tries actually really good
Edit: lets see how he stands against toughest bosses of the other endings
Sword saint's the boss for 3 of the 4 endings, and the hardest one by far. The bad ending has a (kinda?) different final boss but its much easier
He is talking about father i guess
Took me like 30 tries on Isshin. The first Genichiro fight I probably died 40 times. Ape must have been like 15 times for me.
the ape fight made me doubt my existence
@@plaguepandemic5651 sword saint took me 4 tries the first time i fought him. shura one took me days to beat
Fun fact: If you use the spear after the headless ape unleashes a powerful sword attack and falls down, it yanks out the centipede and does incredible posture damage.
You can skip the 2nd phase of True Corrupted Monk if you hop on one of the tree branches early and do an aerial deathblow if she's below you.
The whistle prosthetic lets you stun the Demon of hatred 3 times
So glad you've enjoyed Sekiro, one of my favorite games of all time. I hope you return to this game and get the other endings, and maybe use more prosthetics.
Glad you mentioned those, I wanted to comment those.
I think he used the the whistle
Wait how does the deathblow on the true corrupted monk work? I have known about it and tried it, but once you are in combat, you are in combat and cannot do it anymore
without the ninjutsu that is, which requires another enemy to be deathblown and cover the area in blood
@@Holoflux when the monk enters second phase, grapple onto the tree as she will disappear and use illusions to attack. Afterwards, she will reappear and you can deathblow her by jumping onto her
The deathblow bug was patched. You can’t do it to her after the initial version of the game
Bruh you're so skilled, beat all those bosses in a handful of times. I died so many times in this game and its my favorite fromsoftware game
The ape and the finale boss where the hardest for me.
Honorable mention: father owl. i loved that fight
Owl in his two versions is an AMAZING fight, I've done the Shura ending just once and just bc I love Owl so much
Fr, inner father is by far the most enjoyable boss for me, in spite of how much he fucks me up 😂
Watching someone getting better and better at this game is such a raw feeling
you can see how much better he got after killing each boss sekiro is beautiful
0:44 me when I go in the hood.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Its probable you figured out the ending by now, but if not basically the ending you got is Immortal Severance which is what most people get if they dont get the Shura(Bad) Ending beforehand.
Basically what happened is that you went through with the immortal severance ritual, freeing the current heir from his immortality and killing him, following this Sekiro follows in the footsteps of the sculptor and starts carving Buddha(The sculptor was the Demon of Hatred btw, born from flames of hatred but thats a little deeper lore).Wolf waits for the next heir to be born and the next warrior to come, so he can take his prosthetic arm such as the Sculptor did for Wolf.
That doesn't explain why he would carve buddhas though, because he could do literally anything else.
Sekijo before him got manipulated by Owl too. After leaving the valley and killing hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers he felt the urge to keep on killing. Sekijo got stopped from becoming a Shura by Isshin (where you, as Sekiro, would succeed with the Shura ending), who cut off his arm and made him face the reality of becoming a killer: That he can get stopped too.
I don't think Sekiro waits for anything. Owl, the manipulator, is dead. Both Sekiro and Sekijo became killers, because of Owl.
There can be a violent uprising, or coup, as Isshin once started, but that doesn't mean anyone will raise someone like Sekiro again. I think Sekiro carves the buddha to calm down, because that's all he ever has come to know to do so. He was basically an agent of death after all.
I think this is true, because there is no indication of the same events taking place - especially with Owl out of the picture.
And even if Sekiro is "just waiting", he begins to look disheveled, like Sekijo - which shows, to me, that he wants to go on killing too, but shouldn't, and therefore carves buddhas all day long and not taking care of anything else.
@@revisit8480 Thats a great point
I think you're right, Sekiro carves Buddhas to calm down, in fact its probably because his current purpose(serving the divine heir) has come to an end, Now he feels to not go killing or do anything as Shura might overtake him now that he has no purpose to fulfil. Another one of these reasons is Karma possibly, it is seen that the Senpou monks have bad karma with their sacrificial behaviour and have lost all faith in Buddha, such as he has in the monks.(The Divine Abduction also shows their dire failed attempt at rebirth). Thus Sekiro, by carving the Buddha, is doing a good moral act, thus repaying his Karma.
@@revisit8480 who´s sekijo? the sculptor?
@@martinalbarracin6960 Yes
@@revisit8480 Sorry I'm a bit late, but there's actually a reason that they are carving Buddhas. I believe it's Japanese culture (?), but it was a penance of sorts that people put upon themselves after murdering someone, to repent for their sins. Sekiro killed Kuro, and the sculptor killed many others in his rage, hence they carve Buddhas. Hope that explains it.
1:17 that organic Dark souls pain sfx tho🤣
When he shows how many attempts he had to do after beating any boss just always gets me 😂 a true Sekiro GOD
Well done mate, honestly I think Sekiro is an absolute masterpiece of a game. When it clicks it clicks, and the combat turns into a dance with your enemies. Glorious man. But yeah Demon of Hatred (he is the sculptor, he went Asura (seeing red with rage and murdering indiscriminately), check Vaati xd)) and Isshin took me both 3 days. I dont even wanna know how many attemts. GG man, what's next?!
the game is so over the top it’s annoying ngl.
@@kavid8120 wrong
He isn’t actually possessed by shura, he’s possessed by the flames of hatred, a separate sort of illness/demon? While shura is more of a state of mind similar to possession in a sense as only one who is truly skilled may become a shura, the flames of hatred however choose an avatar and give them supernatural abilities like immortality, I think in his failure to become a shura the flames took him instead, rising when war and hate is at its peak turning him into a monster
This game needs a sequel badly
Not an actual sequel imo but From definitely needs to make another single player combat focused game
The "don't get greedy" with the owl is the best moment. You really mastered it 😎
Thanks for not faking your monkey reaction. We actually appreciate a lot.
My mam is manipulating people to think that he is playing for first time
So edited, and tons of farming and deaths😂😂
Man, i cant believe you beat all those bosses in like half the attempts it took me! Your right about the game being extremely satisfying once you get it. This was my first from soft game and i loved it so much i did ng+ charmless with demon bell and platinumed the game! You should go back through and do the shura ending. Its a different boss and it was harder imo. But maybe that was because of the charmless and demon bell /shrug
When I beat a boss in Sekiro, I started playing around the time you did, I tell you, the neighborhood heard my victory scream. Never ever in a Souls game were boss kills so satisfying.
I didn't expect you to just spam the sword attacks against the monk
"I dont think im supposed to be here yet" pretty much sumps up Sekiro for me
Every boss is a cakewalk for me... Except one. That dishonor goes to DoH aka the Demon of Hatred. Fuck that boss.
what will be next? bloodborn? or something else. . . and i enjoy youre vidios btw, great content
Bloodborne is next :)
demon of hatred in 8 attempts. you are a God amongst men. best part is bro didnt even use the whistle
bro youre really good for your first playthrough 🦍🦍
I was part of the team and glad you enjoyed sekiro
It’s definitely in my top 10 if not 5. I hope there will be another
Then why didn’t you tell myizaki to make a dlc. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
Corrupted Monk in 2 tries is completely insane, I was stuck on that boss for DAYS
There is a cheese you can still do where you throw an item (I don't remember it specifically, but it might have been fistful of ash) where you can actually just hug the wall and crouch and get behind him, keep throwing the items untill he is back far enough. Then there is a little pillar you can wall jump off and do an air deathblow
Small tip that I rarely see people do. When you're fighting the 3 stage corrupted monk. Once you land the first deathblow, if you're quick enough. You can actually jump onto the tree limb, and if you do it quick enough when he respawns. You can land a jumping deathblow on him before he can register you're there. This turns it instantly from a 3 to a 2 tier fight. Still works, did it myself like a couple of weeks ago. Hope this helps.
7:15 that's the point of the fight, to put you in the shoes of the footsoldiers you've been fighting up till now. You have the same tools as him, same counters and execution, same tactic of exhausting the opponent to one-shot him, because he drilled all the basics into you. He's not particularly unfair, you are just as much
let’s go i’ve been waiting for part 2

Fun fact: If anyone does a NG+ run some advice. If you complete the gauntlet for "Inner Genichiro" you are rewarded "Sakura Dance" a skill that has a unique but unmentioned ability. It is able to reversal lightning attacks such as the one seen by Isshin 19:55 this helped me a ton when running for the platinum on PS5.
Just a cool tidbit I hadn't seen mentioned in comments yet. Hope you find this interesting.
TL DR:
Use Sakura Dance skill obtained from Inner Genichiro gauntlet to reversal lightning attacks
Not me spending 5+ hours on both guardian ape and owl😭
The goat uploaded
let's go I've been waiting for ages
Great play! What I loved about Sekiro is you have to simply get good at every boss fight - satisfaction guaranteed.
The corrupted monk fight looks like a woodblock print of “fight of ushiwakamaru and benkei at gojo bridge”. Fucking epic
Great Video I always get exited when you make a new Video ❤
When the combat clicks you really just become invincible. The first chained ogre killed me like 15-20 times, lady butterfly(first boss for me) killed me 20 times. But after killing genichiro, I one shot half the bosses, SSI 4 attempts and father owl 2.
Bloodborne time?
4:32 aye man, we appreciate the honesty
omg. for your first playthrough you're so good
this guy so good took me i think 50 attempts and 2 hours to beat genichiro for the first time
The little “Aha” of yours in the video got me laughing hard 😂. Man I don’t remember when was the last time I enjoyed any video
He learned why they call him isshin the Glock saint
Im currently playing through Sekiro for the first time, and have spent ages bashing my head against the brick wall that is the Guardian Ape. I cannot believe you did it in less than 5 tries
Had to watch the whole thing u really really good if first play
"Your in the wrong timeline" That line made me think of another guy that i cant remember who it was but they made a simular style video to this and the first time Isshin wipped out the gun he said "Where did he get a glock from this is feudal Japan"
I beat demon yesterday after like 10+ tries and almost first tried isshin too and got murdered every other try too after 😂 so relatable lmao.
You were lucky you skipped young owl, took me like 15 tries 😩 guardian apes took me forever too.
this game is so insanely satisfying and so clean, i love it so much the animations are perfect
In case anybody was wondering and didn’t figure it out, the dude who put the sword in the guardian ape’s head/neck, was the sculptor, in his younger years.
Respect for not fake reacting to guardian ape standing back up❤
you missed 2 boss fights
1. owl at hirata estate (where u fought lady butterfly)
2. the divine dragon (the opportunity to fight him will show up if u proceed in the divine realm, after the true monk)
fun fact hanbei the undying actually put that sword in gaurdian ape's neck
No it’s not. I think you got the guardian ape confused with the Hermit, if you’re referring to the Hanbei the undying manga.
"He just shoves a sword down a monkey's mouth, that's awesome!"-CappaTron
You definitely watched some tutorials, i kinda refuse to believe you just found some of the best strategies to fight against the bosses first and 2nd try of most bosses 💀
😂😂😂
I had the same intuition immediately on some of the boss fights lol. No way he did them blind.
He freaking reached the last phase of isshin on first attempt and just needed one lightning reversal to finish him. Massive respect bro !
the ape actually mate me quit for a bit so i didn't break my roller, yet here you are headless 1st time. goodstuff make me feel bad
My favourite part is when Owl does a mikiri counter and I'm like WHAAAT.
I died several times on the first 3 phases but when I finally got to the 4th everything from the genichiro fight set in and I countered his ass first try. Proud moment
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Frr
BRO, I LOVE YOUR SOULS GAMES CONTENT KEEP IT UP ❤❤
bro when your cat came it i felt that 😭 i cant play a game for five minutes without my cat coming in and yelling at me
It might be hard to avoid spoilers for the Guardian Ape's second phase... but even several years on, folks can still get caught off guard by the SECOND ape lol
Bro it took me days just to get past the first phase of Sword Saint Isshin
the click is in every souls game. you just have that moment in each of them.
Guardian Ape's sword is from Orangutan's/The Sculptor's old friend. You also find their whistle in its stomach.
The one who put sword on apes neck was the sculptors friend or Emma's father
The demon of Hatred is the sculptor, the lore is i bit complex but basically the reason he carves buhda statues is hes trying to keep himself in check
1:23 the way she moves her sword tho make it seem like she's clapping your checks
Btw on the second phase of monk as she transitions you can be on the tree and jump down and one shot the phase
At 8:30 I swear the moments when your one tap is when we all go crazy and somehow kill a boss fr
"I'mma need that Vaati video immediately." Most relatable shit I've ever heard.
Tron is quickly become one of my favourite youtubers
Bro u should do the other endings and fight the real owl father ☠️
to do these on such few attempts is pretty good. well done.
Hyped for bloodborn
Strange how ape was my favorite fight. 3 tries I took. Beautiful fight. Also armoured guy kicking him through the wooden windows as the light beams in. Iishin in ashina castle was great too
Dang. If the attempt counts are accurate, you adapted to these bosses WAY quicker than me. You're a quick learner, and I believe Sekiro may be your true calling.
frrr like he couldn’t have beat owl in 6 tries… it took me forever😭😭 maybe i just suck
This is genuinely one of the games of all times
It is so irritating to see you only have 20k subs, easily deserves more
1:17 I was so proud because it took me 4 tries for Gyoubu , 12 tries for Genichiro and 8 tries for saint Isshin, Now I see this guy clear it in 30 mins....
lord knows how many times he tried this off camera lol, im sure it was the same as the rest of us.
haha every ytbers that show the attempts killing all boss in less than 10 times all the time
you missed the true owl boss
4:04 Sounded like that sumo(?) sound effect from Ed, Edd n' Eddy for a second there
WHAT DO YOU MEAN ONLY 8 ATTEMPTS?!!
DEMON OF HATRED TOOK ME AT LEAST 20 TRIES
dam bro well played
skill issue
Suspicious, you beat Sekiro with relative ease
man good work im on isshin right now even got to his last phase couple of times , i always tried to dodge his flurry which ends with a thrust and literally was a couple hits away from defeating him
This is my fav software game. The reward you get for being aggressive is so much fun. I also hated demon of hatred, he took me hours
Hearing you mash B when the monk goes for a thrust brings back memories lmao
"oh man, was that our first? That was our first. Our first try, first bo-" bro so flabbergasted he actually did it first try 😂
After several uninstalls and rage quits because i never got the click, i finally got the motivation to play Sekiro because of these videos.
you're insane bro, first playthrough and most bosses you are only taking under 10 tries. maybe i took longer cause i've never touched a souls game before, but i took like 25 - 40 tried on each boss, didn't matter how much harder it was in comparison to the previous it still took in that range
Same here. And now i am able to defeat inner isshin with no damage taken
Man I rang the bell then I fought the ape, I think I fought him 50+ times all I can remember is pain..
i clicked when i fought genichiro for the second time. most satasfying feeling.
I love you cappatron

6 attempts on owl is crazy bro I literally took months break because of him then came back n finally beat him
