"Friends, until now, there isn't any state in India that can be considered a fully developed state on a world-class level. However, in the coming years, we might witness some Indian states reaching full development. In today's video, we will delve into the details of which states have entered this race, and this video promises to be quite interesting.
So, let's start by looking at the top HDI status in Indian states."
Next, we will look at the top per capita income and then explore the states with the highest GDP. Finally, by combining data from these three indices, we will examine the top 6 states and union territories (UTs) in India that have the potential to become the first fully developed states in our country. Additionally, we will compare the HDI of Indian states and UTs with different countries around the world.
Starting with the HDI rankings, at number 10, we have Haryana and Punjab, whose HDI scores are almost the same. Haryana's HDI is 0.691, which is equal to Venezuela, while Punjab's HDI is 0.694, equal to Botswana.
At number 9, we find Jammu and Kashmir with an HDI of 0.702, which is equal to the Philippines.
At number 8, Sikkim has an HDI of 0.702, equal to Vietnam.
Number 7 is Himachal Pradesh with an HDI of 0.703, again equal to Vietnam.
Number 6 is Lakshadweep with an HDI of 0.715, equal to Palestine.
At number 5, Puducherry has an HDI of 0.726, equal to Uzbekistan.
Number 4 is Delhi with an HDI of 0.730, equal to Fiji.
Number 3 is Chandigarh with an HDI of 0.740, equal to Tonga.
Number 2 is Goa with an HDI of 0.751, equal to Moldova, a European country.
And at number 1, we have Kerala with an HDI of 0.752, equal to Colombia.
For reference, India's average HDI is 0.633, and India ranks 132nd in the world.
Now, let's discuss the top 10 states based on per capita income:
At number 10, we have Puducherry with a per capita GDP of $2,792.
Number 9 is Tamil Nadu with a per capita GDP of $2,863.
Number 8 is Gujarat with a per capita GDP of $2,872.
Number 7 is Telangana with a per capita GDP of $3,119.
Number 6 is Haryana with a per capita GDP of $3,181.
Number 5 is Karnataka with a per capita GDP of $3,191.
Number 4 is Chandigarh with a per capita GDP of $3,954.
Number 3 is Delhi with a per capita GDP of $4,644.
Number 2 is Sikkim with a per capita GDP of $5,570.
And finally, at number 1, we have Goa with a per capita GDP of $5,821."
Talking about Kerala, which was at the top of the HDI list, it's not far behind in this list either; Kerala is ranked 11th. Kerala's per capita GDP is $2,767.
When we look at India's global rank in terms of GDP per capita, it stands at 139th, which is quite low. There are very few people in India who are satisfied with their jobs.
Now, let's discuss the top 10 states based on GDP along with their HDI, which will give us an idea of how much human development is there despite high GDP.
At number 10, we have Madhya Pradesh, which ranks 31st in HDI.
Number 9 is Andhra Pradesh, with an HDI rank of 24.
Number 8 is Telangana, with an HDI rank of 20.
Number 7 is Rajasthan, with an HDI rank of 22.
Number 6 is West Bengal, with an HDI rank of 26.
At number 5, we have Karnataka, with an HDI rank of 17.
Number 4 is Uttar Pradesh, with an HDI rank of 32.
Number 3 is Gujarat, with an HDI rank of 23.
Number 2 is Tamil Nadu, with an HDI rank of 13.
And at number 1, we have Maharashtra, with an HDI rank of 12.
Looking just beyond the top 10, at positions 11, 12, and 13, we find Kerala, Delhi, and Haryana in terms of GDP. These states are already in the top lists for HDI and per capita income, and despite being smaller in size, their GDP is significantly better than many other states.
Now, if we closely examine this data, we'll notice that there are some names that consistently appear in all the lists or are at least in the top 15. These are the states that are likely to be the first to achieve full development across all parameters in India.
If we talk about smaller states and UTs, Goa, Chandigarh, and Delhi are likely to achieve full development first. They are already quite developed compared to the overall India average.
When we look at medium-sized and larger states, Kerala, Haryana, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu have a higher chance of becoming the first fully developed states.

The biggest problem what I observed is accountability, civil sense , law and cleanliness. In Ahmedabad city was clean but I observed people would not follow rules and drive recklessly , frequent accidents on SG highway , and this problem is in lots of states

Kerala is heavily investing in physical infrastructure like ports, roads, sewage, drinking water, electricity.
By 2040 Kerala will be developed in lines of Nordic countries but with PCI of $35000
the govt should also make Kerala business friendly and invite more IT sectors. It can solve the current unemployment issue. The only negative i can say of Kerala is the unemployment rate and the lack of metropolitan cities like other states. I hope trivandrum will become one if the vizhinjam port works out.

Valuable insight. I think each one of us in the country must help each other by proposing or participating in measures to improve the country's performance across all states and spread this awareness. No state or union territory should be left out. Then only country can progress unanimously and strongly.

I lived in western countries and traveled the world. No matter how much infra and development is there in western countries, there is something in India that makes me happy. There is more fun, freedom, culture, spirituality in India than in western countries. West feels like mechanized robot. Improve waste management, judiciary , law enforcement, reduce corruption, and add infra. And preserve what it already has. That's it.

Kerala is a highly populated and eco natural state, like other states it cannot make industrial areas and machineries. They are doing well with their capability. They improvise more on IT sector and migrating to other developed countries.
