"Can I call you Bob?" "You may call me Murry!" "Could you pick me up so I could bite you?" "No!" "Just thought I'd ask." I can't believe a new Monkey Island game is in the making!
Can we make a petition to get this remastered on the current consoles? I absolutely adore this game and think it was the first one I played when I heard about Monkey Island, I would SO love this to be re-released on consoles such as Xbox etc.. along with the other ones!! ❤️🙏🏼
I played the Monkey Island saga lately and I realized that while the Big Whoop in the 2nd game was considered as a way for Guybrush to escape LeChuck, in the 3rd game is suddendly a way for LeChuck to recruit more zombie-pirates. A typical contradiction of sagas that continue spawning more installments and break the coherence of the previous ones. But it was fun anyway.
I fell asleep listening to this video so many times hahah, really relaxing. The dialogue, the ambience, the music... My best point and click childhood game.
I just finished playing through this again for the first time since my childhood, and I forgot about some of these hillarious moments! The times the characters break the 4th wall are hilarious! The one where the characters poke fun at main characters not dying is the best and the fake ending! Haha! I discovered some new dialogue that I never saw in your playthrough! I made the compass before speaking to the ferryman. Did you not know that you can skip the walking animation to different locations when you click on the arrow?
4:12:14, now I will admit I'm glad I finally found someone who took notice of it, because nobody ever has, but someone on Reddit commented about it, and I was going to respond because I noticed it too, but I joined reddit too late and I couldn't. The Goodsoup Hotel Bar I think might be a reference to the Goldener Lowe in Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within. Lucasarts managed to get Kay Kuter the guy who played the part of Werner Huber to do the voice of Griswold Goodsoup, and they are both the bartenders of the hotel. I have a theory because people keep commenting on how random that is that Madame Xima a woman who gives you a tarot reading is there and wonder why she was put there. Later on in GK2 there's this couple who are demonologists Emil and Merle Smith and Merle Smith is the one who gives Grace a tarot reading. I think they put Madame Xima there to give Guybrush a tarot reading because Lucasarts got the guy to play Werner Huber to play Griswold Goodsoup and I think that thinking about GK2 is what caused them to put randomly put Madame Xima there. It's strange how nobody else has ever made the connection. I guess it's because people when they play CMI don't really think about GK2.
I am glad for this walk through it is my most beloved game. During my childhood whenever i tried to play this game like the game name says " Curse".. it was a really a curse. I could never play it either my disk got broken or PC hdd got crashed and what not.. now i can just see this walk through in peace and now what was the strong.
I'm currently on another nostalgia tour of the MI-series and just finished "Curse" a couple of hours ago. Not sure how many times I've played this game but I have owned it since it first came out, so... I probably played through it more times than I care to admit. I like all of the titles in the series and Curse ranks up there with the best of the series for me, but just like I thought all the other times I've played it: The last act(s) really do feel a bit rushed. Once you leave Blood/Skull island(s) it feels like they either had to cut quite a bit of content or had run out of ideas. My guess is that it was the former, since I refuse to believe that the team was just pushing this thing out the door with that sort of conclusion and thinking they'd done a good job. I mean... Elaine doesn't even get a single bit of real dialogue after you free her from the curse, LeChuck is defeated very quickly and once that's done, the narrative simply cuts to the ending cinematic. BTW: The game is available on Steam and has ScummVM "built-in", so it runs great on Win 10/11 systems (at least it does for me).
Well playing it again after two decades was enough for me to forget most of the puzzles and a lot of the dialogue. I remembered a lot of it after seeing it however.

Yes, you can play it on Steam! I didn't know and discovered it on Steam last year and happened upon it when it was on a sale for only something like $2.49! It's way worth the original price though!

I played this game as child but I could not pass chapter 3. Now, 20 years later I installed it again, and played it but I take a peak at this gameplay also at some moment. This was a realy great game that do not make anymore. Great game!
@@Maximilian-Robespierre the quicksand pulls all the cool stuff out of Guybrush's pockets that he found in the snake. But of course nothing important for the progress of the game, like the gum.
I also lost the biscut cutter, I might have picked it up but I probobly also lost it in the quick sand, and when I went back to the place here 1:57:59 When I came back there, it was gone though so there is basically no possible way to beat the game now, not that this comment will do me any good since you never respond
