So amazing to see all the subtle insights of such an amazing player. This is what separates the strong players from the super strong players. Such lucidity and so many minutes details are seen. What a genius and amazing commentator Peter is!
@@GRENKEChess He puts a lot of energy in the analysis. It was just beautifull. Maybe you could create a series with the superGMs that compete in this wonderfull event. Maybe Aronian could be the next one.
Peter Leko, the man that surprises me until some months ago when i "found him" in some videos doing the chess commentator job i think on "Chess24". After almost 30 years that i played competition chess tournments i never study his games simply because i thought they were to much solid and not that dinamic for me. Now, i understand it better. Peter Leko is a excellent chessplayer, and most of all a amazing chess teacher. I´d never realized the profund chessmaster that he truly is and the almost unique reasons why he played and still play the moves he choose. In the past i simply don`t get it his chess moves! Why? I could not acess to his explanations! I analysed many games in a chess blog i was running; "viriatovitchchess". Peter was never there! So sorry for not trying to understand the way Peter see the chess game. Magistral chess from him! Really well done! Cheers for you GM Peter Leko! "viriatovitch"
Peter Leko in his heydays was always under 10 in rankings. He was challenger to the world championship against the champion Vladimir Kramnik, and almost defeated him. However, the series ended in a draw. One of the games of that series is very famous, where Leko played Qd3 which was invisible even to engines. You may find a very good analysis of that game on Agadmator's channel.
I beg to differ. The 2004 chess World championship match didn't end in a draw. Indeed, instead of responding by e5 to Kramnik's e4 on round 14 (last game where Peter Leko only needed a draw to become the world champion, he was leading 7-6), to the surprise of his seconding team (Vladislav Tkachiev), he insisted on playing the Caro Kann again. The game ended in a win by Kramnik who thereby claimed the world champion's title. Kramnik later explained that nerves must have played a big part in Leko's inability to at least draw the game which, in 2004, he did comfortably against any opponent. With the heavy burden of becoming the 15th world champion on the line, Leko played a very conservative game and missed a few opportunities to go for sharper lines. At least, that's what Kramnik said. He was a few decisions away from becoming world champion. That's cruel but that's life...
Oh I just understood what you meant. The championship match ended in a 7-7 draw, indeed! I thought you were saying the last game of the match was a draw.. My bad!
Referring to 9:50 : The b-pawn is in extremely poisoned many many more positions . Not only in this one. I see so many players capturing this pawn without any hesitation at all and get their queen trapped (or similar stuff). So for anyone out there reading this: Next time before capturing a "b"-pawn make sure it's not utterly poisoned as Peter Leko explained. Have a look at this example (which I had many times already): 1. d4 d5 2. c4 Nf6 3. cxd5 Qxd5 4. Nc3 Qa5 5. Bd2 Qb6 6. Nf3 You certainly DO NOT want to take on b2!
You should use a beautiful wooden chess board, not this cheap plastic and better light. I would film it from different angles, slowly very smooth moving cameras(4K) will simulate a very pleasant 3D impression (Contact me). And you should do this with every interesting game and it would be interesting, to hear the ideas and thoughts of both players!!!
Thanks for your advise! From which angle would you film? Do you mean Multicam from different angles? 4K, we can realize. Both players is awesome :)... but the loser ofeten doesn't want to analyze...
What do you prefer a real chess board or a 2D chess board in the corner?🤔
3D I prefer
Love the real chess board.
Both
just filming the board is WAY better. The 2D board is often not perfectly sync'd up with the player's analysis
A real chess board.
Leko's the man!
You can also try 3 d board some time...
BTW I am your excellent subscriber
Hello everyone..... what's the idea here ?
I'm here to enjoy the show, and I did!
thank you! I only heard about this video from the Capablanca series... it's really informative to hear high level players analyze their own games
agadmator's army is here!
Only the excellent subscribers :-)
Agadmator himself is here 😃
Yeahh.. me too ..

As we filmed this, we couldn't believe with how much passion Leko analyzed his game after three tough games in the Schachbundesliga in Berlin!
Thanks for your comment patrickJMT, greetings from Hungary!
Hi Patrick nice to see you here!

AGAD was right. Amazing analysis. Thanks Mr. Leko :)
The world needs more analysis videos like this one.
Thanks man!
Someone to challenge Svidler!
Wonderful video! Thank you.

oh woow! Thank you for uploading this awesome video !
You are welcome!
Leko= memorization monster !
And this after 3 exhausting rounds of hiogh level chess...
Besides the game..How he remembers all the moves and where the places were before he shows the variations is what most amazes me
But he didn't
Thank you so much. I love Peter.
You are welcome!
Thanks Leko for share the analysis of your art piece..! Congrats..!!!
We will send Leko your comment!

Magnus 12 games = 12 draws against Caruana
Leko 1 game and 1 win
Good job, Leko!
That was a beutiful game. I really enjoyed Peter's analysis.

Thanks for the Leko analysis.
Chess players: offended because the opposition didn't play the best defense against them.
The one "thumb down" comes from Fabiano...
Leko is amazing!!
yes indeed
Szép volt, Peti!
Leko is a real champ
All hail agad 🤟🤟🤟
amazing
Leko! What a man
Knight on h5 is German Knight's horse on 4:45
at 19:24 pawn d4 to d3 is then not playable?
I love to see analysis on a real chessboard
Glad tohear that! We gonna do videos more in this style.

Practical game
Great analysis by #Peter_leko (Y)
Agad
This is the first time in his career leko declined a draw
Rare occasion :)
the win was purely psychological. he plays fabi in more than won match, fabi wins more often. simple. this win doesnt prove much.
