Great videos on this build. Please put together in a playlist when you're done. Thanks for all you do.
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Yes there is a playlist. Thanks again !
Boy,, That little ole Johnson is kicking your AZZZ!!
And I'm feeling it! Hahaha Thanks for tuning in!
Once you get all the new stuff on it, it should smooth out and idle. Find a starter motor for that thing. Less wear on the body. Juiced or not.😅
Thanks again !
Thats exactly what its doing brother. U got to fix that fuel issue
👍Thanks again !
I 3D print my bushings. The pinion bushing, as well as the shift bracket bushings on the opposite side.
They last an average of 2 years. Obviously ABS plastic is not the most durable material. But for a hard-to-find part, the bang for buck is decent.
Cool! Thanks for tuning in!
Do you write your own program for the parts, or are they available ? My son has printed some parts for his snowmobile. He finds something close to what he needs and trims to fit.
Also, I've had good results using copper wire, either 12 or 14 ga. and hammering it flat till it fits to take out the linear play in the round joints in the horizontal section.
@Gonzobuddy I use FreeCad to create the models. Export those as STL format, then use a slicer like Prusa or Cura.
That thing had some issues but you will get back on the water great job 👍🏻🤘🏻
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Hope so!
I like the pause with your logo. It ads to the drama. It's a pain in the azz🤣
Hahaha. That's where the ads are suppose to play so I can make a couple bucks!
Have you tried a different primer ball it could be licking back into the gas tank if your not liking gasoline somewhere else then it's getting air into the carburetor or the gas line or one of the fittings on the gas line
Not yet. Thanks for tuning in!
I hate having a sloppy johnson 😂
Hahaha! Thanks for tuning in!
My 89 25hp Evinrude has a linkage issue. It's the plate slot the linkage is hooked to. Allows the throttle cam to drop to the end, won't idle. Runs wide open very well. Plus the issue of pumping unburnt oil and gas out the exhaust. 🤦. I'm going to try and make a bushing to fit it today. Unless i can confirm that the lower crank seal is bad. Then I'm junking it.
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Try ebay for replacement parts. You may also need the idle stop screw/mount to keep the cam from dropping to the end. The unburnt fuel is normal if its not firing, its still pulling fuel. Check the schematics at marineengine.com for parts. I'm in Orlando, Fl. If your close by I'd be happy to take it off your hands if you junk it! Thanks again & Stay tuned !
I found out if u use automotive dry 12v ignition coil for extrernal coils version of motors which produces really really hot stronge sprak those old motor will start from half pull 😂
12v auto ignition coil specifically that one with ballast resistance which made to to use minimum voltage (6~9)volts to create good spark
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. That 1970 60 hp Evinrude I have is set up something like an old school ignition. Just one coil for 3 cylinders. Thanks again !
When ur trying to get a bushing out that’s stuck try acetone it make rubber an plastic slick as snot !
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. My can was empty!
You were really pulling on your "johnson"!!!
Hahaa! Thanks for tuning in!
Might be the fuel pump , even when they are new the Chinese ones I've had to rebuild it and then it works right , it won't stop the gas from going back. I suggest if you have one that you know is working just swap it out , if it stops from coming back rebuild the pump.
Hey. Thanks again for tuning in. Not sure I understand what you mean. Anyway it is new and tested fine. Thanks again !
The non return valve in your bulb primer is shot.
Yep. Thanks for tuning in!
Please,check the pump again...
Thanks again !
Whats up brother. How u been??? Anyways keep up the great content and much love to ya from Maryland❤❤❤
Hey. Thanks for tuning in!
Now isee why you install those start buttons , o been there it's exhausting cranking those things all day 😮
Hey. Thanks for tuning in!
If the fuel pump is good, the fuel should not go back to the tank, more so when engine is running.
Thanks again !
She’s a runner for shur!!!😂
Thanks again !
There is absolutely too much slop on this johnson!
TOO TOO MUCH! Hahaha Thanks for tuning in!

Thanks for tuning in!
You should nickname that 20 Elizabeth…….
Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Done! Elizabeth, I like it!
@@THISOLDOUTBOARD1 That was Fred Sanford’s wife……
@@AAE-cg1il Hahaha yes!
Oh, yeah; she's definitely leaning out. Cheap-Az Chinese fuel pumps. Aftermarket primer bulbs - nothing but trouble. Sometimes an aftermarket fuel tank pick-up also. I made a lot of money replacing those items. Don't ever cut corners on those. But, I know you'll do as you please, you ol' rascal. See you next time on This Old Outboard!
👍Thanks for tuning in! Don't forget I'm poor. Hahaha
@@THISOLDOUTBOARD1 Yeah, I know about that myself..........
@@mikedurhan9941 hahaha!
Fuel pump, Not working !
Thanks for tuning in!
Junk it it will make ur hand hurt
Yeah I'm feeling it. Thanks for tuning in!
If its got good compression the rest is just a pain in the azz
Hahaha! Thanks again !
I thought half way through that it was running out of fuel it’s happened to me on and off with old motors with air/vacum type leaks 👍🇦🇺🦘
Hey. Thanks for tuning in!
