This is an excerpt from a much longer video that you can get if you're in the Savvy Club -- the horse starts out more extreme with pushing into Pat's space...eventually it gets to this segment...and pretty soon afterward, the horse relaxes and lowers his head and Pat massages his poll and altas area (where head meets neck) and talks about the spectrum of discomfort - comfort - pleasure. That once the horse found the release (comfort) from pressure (discomfort), then it was appropriate for Pat to massage the area that had been tense (pleasure). After I watched the whole thing I went and tried it with my horse, who is still a little bit ear-shy, and ended up with him blowing out and licking his lips and relaxing and then leaning a little into the massage with a sign of pleasure. WOW!

Do you know how to access these old videos in the new Savvy Club? It used to be easy with Parelli Connect, but I've not had much luck with the new site.

There are different personalities..in all living things..they aren’t caused by humans necessarily..look at a herd of horses, dogs, cats..Wild animals.l outside.. some are timid, some are forceful. Some like all their mates..

@@lesliejacobs3002 We are talking about horses. There are no problem horses, only problem people. The horse is a reflection of the person handling it. Until you get this, your horsemanship will not grow.

This is why I always take the bridle off slowly and let my horse spit out the bit himself when he's ready.

Anyone else think that horse looks like he's from the Looney Tunes short with Wagner's Valkyrie?
