Thank you for sharing this video Leloy and Richard. I hope more Filipinos would watch this type of content with an open mind, more understanding, and critical thinking. Let us not look down on our own country 'cos we're better than we think, and we can do better... At least that's what I believe, and that seems to align with what you gentlemen were saying. Salamat. 👍
As always, since the Marcos martial law, the Philippine government is the biggest red flag in the international community. It's a waste of time to talk of history. Major investors will not consider even a 6-year market performance, the standard is 10-15 years track record. With quality of the Philippine government (executive+legislative+judicial) the risk-to-reward ratio is is not good, especially when compared to other ASEAN countries. When a prime minister can be unseated due not smart decision in attending a party (U.K. issue) during the pandemic crisis), that is what you call adaptability to changes. In the Philippines, the new trend is the partnership of oligarchs and autocratic government to maintain the status quo in bureaucracy and wealth concentration to the 1% rich.
Debunking the Marcos myth is not the content of their conversation... And to make pro-Marcos people happy, they acknowledged some of the strengths of the Marcoses. Richard said the Marcoses "sense of ambition" that Filipinos are "more than the little brown brothers of the Americans". On how President BBM is doing (well at least when they were doing the interview), Richard said "so far so good"...On Marcos appointment of Enrique Manalo to the DFA "Marcos is doing something even better than all previous presidents did, at least in the recent history..."

I love the back-and-forth, the rapport. Leloy and Richard complement each other as interviewer-interviewee.
