This SONA looked and sounded like it's been memorized and rehearsed but he failed to deliver it adequately. He is mumbling. Many English words are hard to understand. He tries to make jokes and eyebrow raising statements and incoherent English sentences. They all sounded so cheap. Can somebody remind this guy he is the President of the Philippines not a village captain. He talks like a shirtless lowlife guy peeing in the sidewalks of Divisoria. What I like about Duterte's SONA, it wasn't just a plain speech that he had to finish, he personally tackled issues and explained his stand on each one. Yes, it was a long speech but it wasn't boring thanks to the President's humor and adlibs.
Duterte is better off without a teleprompter. The words of his speech are well delivered and resonated better without the apparatus. He looks stiff when reading but when in impromptu, one can feel the intent of his words which in my experience reach out to the bottom marrow of my bones and spirit. The good thing about him is his way of promoting awareness that insinuates a real and truthful perspectives for the Filipinos to know and think about. I am very proud of having a president like him and can shout to the world AT LAST WE HAVE A GOOD LEADER WHO CARED SO MUCH FOR OUR WELFARE.
