Amen. My very first job in healthcare was an ER tech 11 years ago. Now I hear all of this on the street as a paramedic. The majority of the patients only call because they think they will get in faster if they come in by ambulance. But we just advise the hospital while enroute and walk em right into triage! Haha they all get pissed when we do that.
@@excessivethrottle8918 I was accused of faking it by both paramedic and hospital staff. I was ridiculed, abused, and thrown into a mental health room. Finally a doctor ordered an MRI, and it turned out that I had a serious disease after all.
How can someone possibly be like this? I have legit health issues(third degree heart block, super high blood pressure, bad asthma, the list goes on) and have had times when I SHOULD HAVE gone by ambulance but was embarrassed to. I don't like having people fuss over me and when my health is down, I just want to be alone. Why would somebody WANT to go to the ER for the fun of it and WANT all their family/boyfriends to rush around behind them? During my stays in the hospital, I have seen people like this. I just want to grab them by the collar and shake some sense into them.
I wish my seizures were more like that and less....the life threatening ones I've had in status epilepticus. I don't know if I want to laugh hysterically or cry.
I think the script for this is a collection of statements made by a variety of pts....not just one person. But every now and then u run into one person who DOES act like that.
I was a frequent flyer in 2011 because of the pressure releasing in my brain. I didn't know why my potassium kept dropping and no one would see or help me with my problems. I think hospitals should tag frequent flyers and analyze whether or not they have medical issues that need to be addressed or are hypochondriacs and need mental help.
actually that doesn't start until this coming January. People have been using the E.R. instead of clinics, urgent care or doctors offices for a long, long time. Even ones that have coverage. They just think they will get seen sooner.
Really? I have been in the e r where people become impatient and get rude because sicker people are being called ahead of them. Most of them just had a cold and refuse to go to their primary care doctor or an urgent care. Some will sit and talk about their whole life story when they are getting registered..know one cares about anything but what your medical issue is.
This really pisses me off there are people who are very chronically ill out there including myself but those bastards abuses system and they get away with it I have had 10 blood clots now 9 pulmonary embolisms and I have chronic pain but now I get discriminated against because of it all the time but no those people come in and they get away with it each time
I legit died when she asked for movie tickets with the free cab vouchers. This is definitely one of my favorite xtranormal videos.
“Are you questioning my need for emergency services?” “Hell yes I am”

Urgent care can turn patients away for financial reasons.
Damn sad and true
I have to say that this is the funniest video of them all, although sadly to say this really happens. Go Medicaid and our recipients.
