    I love that you said your first one took 3 hours. Mine took 2 hours because the client had a lot of questions. The signing company was having a fit because they were in Texas and I was in Oregon so there is a 2 hour time difference. They wanted scanbacks right away. My all-in-one printer/scanner/fax machine could only handle 10 pages at a time so my scanning was slow. They kept texting and calling and emailing me "WHERE ARE THE DOCUMENTS!" which was only delaying me more. They were so frustrated because I was trying to check over the docs to make sure they were correct and some didn't scan very well so I had to redo them. It was a nightmare. It didn't get funded that day and they let me know how bad that was but I don't know, even now, how I could have prevented those things as a newbie. It just happened. Now I rush through the docs more, just making sure they sign and initial where they are supposed to and say, if you have questions please ask your loan officer. We can call them with all your questions at the end. I have never had to call the loan officer. My signings still take 1 hour. The scanbacks still take 30-45 minutes, then running to FedEx takes another 1 hour round-trip. I honestly don't know how people get 4-5 signings done in one day using a signing service. Maybe going direct is the only way to go.

    Being a notary crossed my mind at one point but because I am really considering leaving my full time job I am definitely going into this line of work to replace driving for rideshare partime. If I am able to make 500-1k a week and not worry about as many miles my vehicles this would definitely be awesome. I have a business mind so working for myself is just my idea of being an entrepreneur.

    Awesome! You are doing your due diligence specking your vision to existences. One thing I do is speck about my goals and future desires. I personally record myself on my phone and listen to myself, it helps build confidence when I listen to yourself. I find ways to improve yourself just by listening to myself and I see my confidence build with each talk. What do I talk about? The things I believe and read about. Example I’ll talk about what “execution” means to me or how can I be the “energy/light” wherever I go and I visualize it when I talk about it in detail, giving me a stronger understanding of myself and my goals. I break each one down in detail. Great video!❤️

    I am watching your video because I am looking for new opportunities to make money once I retire. I am currently a Mortgage Underwriter and I wanted to comment about something you said. You said that you only show a $2,000 wage on your schedule C. If you are planning on buying a house, you may need to up the amount of money that you pay yourself. When you qualify for a mortgage, you will only be able to use what you declare as your income and not the full amount of your monthly income to qualify. So, if you think you can qualify on $2,000 per month, then you would be okay, However, that is typically a very low income for buying a home. Most mortgage companies will require two years of schedule C if you have been in business less than five years. Those years are averaged together so you have to factor that in if you have a current year of 2K and you need more. You would need the increased income for two years before you could use it on a mortgage for the full amount.

    Great info Amanda! I have a question about taxes. You briefly mentioned you are waiting a year before you seriously consider buying a home.
    Hi Amanda I and Judy and I would love see some more videos from you. Since you are a women building her own wealth. Your insight would be appreicated in areas of wealth/ financial literacy /benefits of paying yourself/ ways you discovered you can benefit from taxes/taxes planning and budgeting (for home etc.) the smart way :) Even the way other women can learn to grow to scale in their freelance work in notary and/or taxes, etc. and life!

    the loan signing course is a waste of money, save your money and research cheaper courses. I only paid $15 for my loan signing course.

      @Angel baby, I used the course from Udemy. It's called How to be a mobile notary and loan signing agent . The instructor is Jennifer Schroeder. I think I paid 12.99 or something. She explains each document and shows you examples. Tbh, the exam gives you the pdfs to reference while your taking the exam. You should be fine with Jennifer's course 🙂

      I’m finding this problem because the state of Alabama requires you to have 20 hour course and they only have two approved providers so they’ll only accept your 20 our credits from these two schools and it’s like $800

    Hey Amanda, I think there’s a struggle for a lot of newer notaries and lsa’s in receiving confirmed assignments, what would you suggest to someone who’s receiving notifications but not actually getting the assignment?

    I was a signing agent full time 2020-22 then moved on once the refi rush died down. I'm just getting back into it again since July, life happens, and the volume of signing service notifications is bleak compared to what I was accustomed to 2 yrs ago in.my area, and the fees are 2/3 what they used to be. Supply & demand, there's alot more signing agents twiddling their thumbs now so the signing services aren't having to pay as much right now and there are fewer real estate transactions so what once paid $90-$100 their offering $70-$80 and getting them covered. I always counter offer a higher rate $20+ but I'm getting g alot of strikeouts. I haven't attempted to line up any direct business because I feel I'd have to be 'on call' constantly not knowing if & when whereas with signing services if I wanna take a 3 day weekend & go up north I just don't answer my phone or respond to any notifications. Pros & con's with both options imo.

    • @clawJAMMER0317

      @amandapluma
      Mid-Michigan. I received a refi notification earlier today for $75 that used to pay $100-$110. And a HELOC for $60 that used to pay me $85-$95. I countered for $80, didn't get it. I refuse to print docs, use toner, gas, wear on my SUV, and my time 30ish miles each way , come home to scan in the docs then backtrack to FedEx again to drop them and make peanuts. I'm not doing this to break even or lose money just in the hopes a signing service makes me their 'preferred' signing agent whenever they have a signing in my area, like once a week right now🥱🙄. I'm definitely gonna have to find another side hustle because there just isn't enough volume to do this full time right now. I've done over 300 closings and it's pretty slim pickens right now doing onesee's and twosee's here and there when I used to do 2-4 a day. Now I'm beginning to wonder WtF am I doing and why am I doing it if there's no money in it anymore.

      didn't believe that I will ever benefit in Crypto trading but thank God for bringing investor Barry Silbert to me, he has been a blessing and a father to me. I started investing with him after I lost my job. It pays to invest than to work trust me. My first investment of $1k with him gave me $9k. And when you refer more people you'll get a referral bonus too.
