After studying so hard and getting all certs , it’s crazy to see NO signings anywhere even after asking direct clients! But thank you for the info, hard work pays off ! 🙏🏼
For anybody in the comments…For General Notary work, charge what you feel you are worth. I often give quotes and at times it may be outside of the customer’s price range. That is perfectly OK. There are customers who will pay you YOUR price. Dont undervalue your time. I charged $100 for a single document, which may only be a 10 minute appt. But, I had an hour of total drive time. Also, everyone who is buying homes in this market will definitely refinance when rates drop. It will get busy again. Hold fast.
Rates are not going to drop. The 50 year average is 8% and there have only been a handful of years under 6%. Rates under 5% have only happened 3 or 4 years of the last 50 years.
Quick disclaimer. At about 2:40 there’s a comment at the bottom that states “you can set your own prices in gnw” be very careful with that. There are State specific pricing. For example in Utah, you can only charge as much as $10 per notification. Also only about $0.52 per mile, to travel to the location. (Not to get back home) You can add services for extra money, but you need to be able to justify those expenses. Do your homework for your states limitations and notary regulations. Just don’t want someone to charge the moon and lose their commission off bad TH-cam information.

3:35 Same here! I seriously dedicated 4+ hrs to actually mentor a good friend of mine. I had typed up notes, provided redacted sample docs, did a mini mock signing with her, answered all of her questions. Unfortunately, she didn’t put in the effort on her part & returned to a 9-5. It made me mad because sooo many newbies plead for a mentor. However as a seasoned LSA, you don’t know which newbies are going to put in the work & which newbies are not, you definitely don’t want to waste your time & knowledge though. I’ve been a full-time LSA for 2+ yrs now & I am steady. Yes, there’s a slow down going, but there’s still work out there.
This is so frustrating! People get weird about paid mentorship but they don't understand exactly what you said. It takes time and effort to mentor someone.
I wish I knew someone who was interested into going into this same field. If you wouldn't mind helping me as well I am very self-motivated to continue in this path. I have always wanted to work for myself to live financially based on the effort I put. Hope you don't mind helping. Thanks!

what do you mean you can set your own prices. in California its 15 dollars per notary. right? i know you can charge a travel fee if you go to them. but what else.
Hello Amanda, question did you start the course online or in person. Wanted to see which one to use if online. There’s many but would rather use a recommend one. Please let me know thank you
As far as pricing for notary goes can you fluctuate your prices or are there set prices you can charge? Not sure if I you said it, or maybe I missed it in the video.
General notary work in CA is $15 max per stamp. But you can charge a travel fee to go to them in your a mobile notary For loan signings they put offers for $40-90 max I’ve seen in my area currently with Signing Services Direct Title can pay as much as $100-300 depending on the type of signing that’s why she said go direct but the market is saturated currently
Thank you! For the longest time I was thinking about making one but this is an industry I don't see myself in forever. However I do adore helping new notaries. I do one on one calls with those looking for mentorship. :)

Great to hear from you too Alex! Lol no we’re not gonna move. Rents way to pricey everywhere.
@@amandapluma I bet and inflations crazy.. I just moved back from Tokyo so I see the prices went up everywhere
What course did you purchase from Loan Signing System? He seems to have several, and Im confused as to which would be the best for someone starting out.
Thank you in advance!
what do you mean you can set your own prices. in California its 15 dollars per notary. right? i know you can charge a travel fee if you go to them. but what else.
Travel and maybe dropping off the documents
Hello Amanda, question did you start the course online or in person. Wanted to see which one to use if online. There’s many but would rather use a recommend one. Please let me know thank you
As far as pricing for notary goes can you fluctuate your prices or are there set prices you can charge? Not sure if I you said it, or maybe I missed it in the video.
General notary work in CA is $15 max per stamp. But you can charge a travel fee to go to them in your a mobile notary
For loan signings they put offers for $40-90 max I’ve seen in my area currently with Signing Services
Direct Title can pay as much as $100-300 depending on the type of signing that’s why she said go direct but the market is saturated currently
Do you have another full time job? How are you earning income to travel?
Been thinking of doing notary as a side hustle? Thoughts
Depends on where you live
Get started now (filing your commission with your state and studying loans) so you're prepared for when the market picks up again.
What do you sign for attorneys?
Always some random documents. Like affidavits.
why not do remote online notarizations?
CA doesn’t allow them yet :(
On a different topic. I am trying to find someone that can tell me how to add the CUSTOMIZE button to my channel. I need to add an intro video. Tk u!
Is this only for the California market or is the market nationwide just slow?
mainly in CA. Some people are probably busier but not as busy bc of rates.
Do you have your own training course? I think you'd make a good teacher!
Thank you! For the longest time I was thinking about making one but this is an industry I don't see myself in forever. However I do adore helping new notaries. I do one on one calls with those looking for mentorship. :)
Why not become a RON(remote online notary)? Is it not legal in California yet?
yeah, it's not legal yet :(
When will Calif get Remote Online Notary?!
You’re tellin me! Idk when it’ll happen. I haven’t heard anything about it coming to CA soon.
When inflation goes down, and unemployment goes up, then generally interest rates go down. Years from now. They should go down
How do you charge $100 on a grant deed? Doesn’t state law prohibit us on per signature cost?
$15 for the notarization and driving to the signing and dropping off the doc. Hope that helped :)
Can you please clarify? You dropped off the document to the county?
@@cgcloud9130 I dropped the document off 30 -40 miles to escrow after driving to the signer.
Makes sense, thanks for clarifying. I’ve been charging a $45 travel fee as well but wasn’t sure how much wiggle room I had with other expenses
How would I go about scheduling a zoom training with you for loan signing? Is that something you still do?
Are you doing this full time? 40 hours per week?
Are you in California?
Yes
Hearing the cost of gas in LA made me internally barf. That's ridiculous. 😶🌫️
Find a niche. Maybe work with your demographic or something. Or maybe you have a special interest. Find somewhere or some kind of community that people will want to work with you because you're a part of their community
A lot of you guys were full of crap now all of you are backpettaling. Steering people to those bullcrap programs. I feel sorry for the people who did quit their jobs for this because they believed the hype.
Lol you’re mad bc we have no control over the market?
If it’s too good to be true, it usually is. The hype is real and I feel bad for the new ones who fall for it. The ones benefiting are the ones giving “classes”.
They believed the hype..... Sounds like a "that person" problem.
When your flight to Pontianak Indonesia
The market is busy and STOP 🛑 lying.
Lol bruh interest rates are at an all time high. Maybe not in your area. Where I live in SoCal it is.
Hey Amanda, I sent you a message on Instagram.
I don’t see it
Thank you!
