In a major move to boost the Philippines’ economic and business prospects, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. keynotes the 6th Indo-Pacific Business Forum (IPBF) at the Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City on 21 May 2024.
Hosted by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in partnership with the Philippine Government and U.S. Department of State, the Forum is aimed at promoting trade, investment, export potential opportunities and economic cooperation between the U.S. and its partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.
This year's IPBF brings together more than 500 business leaders, project developers, government officials, industry experts and other stakeholders across the Region, with a virtual component for maximum regional participation.
It will feature discussions, networking and business matching to promote infrastructure investments in emerging Indo-Pacific economies particularly in clean energy transition, emerging technologies and cybersecurity, supply chain and industrial value chain resilience, as well as health and food security.
Additionally, participants will have opportunities to learn more about government tools and programs that support projects in the Region from key decision-makers from both the U.S. and the Philippines.
The 6th Indo-Pacific Business Forum is a fruition of the Chief Executive’s recent visit to Washington, D.C., U.S.A. when he extended an invitation to American business leaders during the Philippines-U.S. Business Forum. In this event, President Marcos Jr. emphasized that the IPBF is a great opportunity to showcase the Philippines’ vast potential for international business ventures.
