I'd never played on a monitor until recently. As you mentioned I've always been more of the couch and big TV. After some time playing on my pretty basic 27 inch monitor, I'm not going back to the couch. Downside, I'm now likely to shell out more money for an upgrade to a 27 inch 4k monitor with HDMI 2.1. Just received mine 2 days ago. My old benq monitor was 1080p at 60hz refresh rate. Now I’m 4K at 120hz and it’s a game changer. It was between the Samsung G7 and this one.. Went back to Benq because my old monitor is still running strong.
@@miichaellangelo my experiance is that you are more focused on a smaller screen, you dont need to look as far over the whole screen and easier to focus on the map and whats happening on the screen
For me is just about perspective feel like small monitors are more for competitive games and the big screen is more for casual gaming or co-op games, play with some friends or like a said something more casual.

I recently shift to monitor because of tiny text and dialogue audio not good(old tv without sound bar i guess) Ui menu everything is very clear and using speaker on monitor it has been good experience

Plus its closer to the router and can plug ethernet into the Series X in there.
As beautiful as this monitor is, I will probably stick with 1440p because it’s a better bang for your buck. I didn’t have to upgrade my components when I switched from 1080p and didn’t notice much of a performance difference with my 3070. I bought the LG GP850 on sale for $500 CAD. Would love to see how Escape from Tarkov looks on this monitor though. BenQ products all look amazing.

I ended up returning my BenQ EX3210R because the text was awful, very blurry and pixelated. The specs say the EX2710U has 163 PPI; wondering if it is enough for good text clarity.
That was a really BAD monitor you got... You only had 16 Million Colors and 92 PPI on a VA Panel. In contrast, this monitor has 163 PPI and over 1 Billion Colors on an IPS Panel. You're going to get light years in better clarity as well this panel has a better Color Gamet. So, this panel will look like it should, especially text wise. And yes, the standard for good text Clarity is at least 160 PPI. So, that was the biggest reason you had terrible text with the other one. I have an older BenQ I'm typing on right now, the PD2700U, I got it specifically for Productivity and Text is great. Specs are mostly similar save this updated and for gaming. I'm thinking about getting this....even though it's too years old now. I'm having a hard time finding a 27inch 4k that's also good for gaming and productivity.
How do 30fps games or 60fps games look in this monitor????? Really would Like to know if they are super blurry or smeary or anything before I make the switch from tv to monitor

Nearly $1200 CAD for a monitor! I had gigabytes competitor to the 32” one and still didn’t see value in $800 (sale price). That or I’m getting old and need to see a ROI

Maybe it's a setting in the monitor or game? Or they might have lied... I think I watched another video "Monitor Unboxed" and they likely LIED about the 2.1 120hz capability, it's what he said about another newer monitor by BenQ.
It’s not. My LG gp950 has intermittent black screen, came back from repair with the same issue. LG said I had to have it repaired THREE times before an exchange. I returned it through Amazon. Reddit users had similar issues. Stay far away from it

@@raikou25 I initially bought the lg go950 because it had a great discount. However, it didn’t work and LG customer support sucks lol. I do have experience with both those monitors, I like the benq more and that’s the one I’ll be buying for myself, i do want to try out a Sony m9 though, but I’ve heard there’s better options for that price point
seems all monitors come from the same ware house regardless if it’s made by lg or acer or what ever . Their all the same over priced crap, IPS (bad for light bleed, darks) 400-600nit hdr all the same man! edit: it’s 2022 man, at these prices you should be getting AT LEAST hdr 1000nits as that’s where hdr begins to actually matter, and mini LED with local dimming zones so you don’t get light bleed and poor blacks. they been milking the monitor technology way to long all they have to do is slap “gaming monitor” on the box and boom! instantly costs 4/5 times more!
sorry but 4k @ 27" for gaming is stupid. -_- .........1:at this resolution its harder to gain fps. 2:no point of higher resolution for monitors less than 45" as its negligible. its all boils down to response time in gaming if its not fast eghnogh youre wasting youre time and money .

Benq has 10 bit color instead of 8bit
Benq also has full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth.
