Man, I STILL listen to Hall & Oates to this day. They were the soundtrack of my 80s childhood.

me to guys but for me the hits are nice yes but i really love the deep cuts cause sometimes they are even better than the hits, that's what drive me nuts when it comes to a performer when they get so many hits they stop playing the lesser known stuff. you can still play the hits but mix it in. the stones play the hits but sometimes they play album tracks and lesser known stuff. there was one they performed the stones i mean in concert maybe a year ago i think?
i forget which track it was but they hadn't sun it since (1967) when it was recorded! i love it when bands do that.

Hall & Oates created popular songs that resonated with people worldwide. They were heavily influenced by Black musicians in blues, gospel, soul, and jazz. I was a teen when I first heard one of their tunes on the radio in the '70s, it took my breath away. Sara Smile is a hauntingly beautiful example. Glad to see John Oates doing so well.

It was always good when one of their songs came on the radio at a time when music wasn’t instant. Just a little older than you so I’m right there w a lot of your memories and music!

What a brilliant episode, John has so many great stories, I loved hearing how so many little things kept aligning perfectly in order to bring him and Daryl together, you can't deny that kind of magic 😊Also loved Rosey's excitement and enthusiasm, it made for such a warm and easy conversation, there was a really nice vibe between them. I had 'You Make My Dreams' played at my wedding... the marriage didn't last, but I still love the song 😄 Thank you John, Rosey and Ryan ❤

At age 5 I would Man Eater would come on the radio in my dad's basement wood shop. We'd turn it up and sing together. Throughout my life H&O has been steady. My ex-girlfriend loved them. One of our first shows together was a H&O cover band opening for a Springsteen cover band. Just a great band.

I also love Hall & Oats. I really do. But I would like to take this time to say that Michael Rosenbaum was just as much of an influence in my life as the Iconic band Hall & Oats. You are a believable actor, mate. What I mean is that whatever role you take you make the audience believe it...and you do it easily. At least, to us, you make it look easy. Loved you and hated you in Smallville. Loved you as Flash. Love you in Cursed. Never give up on yourself or your talent. Thank you for all that you do.

There is only one God. “Within the one Being that is God, there exists eternally three coequal and coeternal persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” God is the creator of everything and is Sovereign over everything. God has appointed his only Son to judge the living and the dead. We have all sinned and broken God’s law, such as lying, stealing, lusting, anger, pride, etc. God is Holy, Just, and impartial. That is why when God judges he cannot let even one sin from anyone go unpunished and that punishment is eternal hell. We can’t work our way into heaven and our good deeds can’t save us from our sin. The bible says all our righteous acts are like filthy rags. We would perish if we died and faced God with our own righteousness.
The Good news is that God sent his only Son to save his people from their sin. Jesus who is fully God and fully human, lived a perfect life and never sinned. He willingly went to the cross where the Father took the wrath that was meant for his people and put it on Jesus. Jesus paid the price for their sin and died on the cross. He was buried and on the third day God raised him from the dead. God commands all people everywhere to repent of their sins and to put their trust in Jesus. Biblical repentance is a change of mind about Sin. It’s an attitude of the heart, genuinely turning from sin to God. Everyone who repents and puts their trust in Jesus, will have their sins credited to Jesus, and Jesus’s righteousness will be credited to them. Their sins will be forgiven and they will be given eternal life. When it’s time to face God, he will welcome them into heaven because of Jesus’s perfect righteousness.

I thought Oates was cool, until last week. No one can sell their share of a Ltd to a 3rd party w/o the other equal owner approval. Not cool.
But best song showcasing their talent: Portable Radio.
Mike is the best Gen X podcast. Why? The chillness and the questions we all want to ask.
Example: If Jesse Ventura were on, he’d ask: “Was politics discussed at all on the set of Predator?” Two governors & a failed governor candidate- in one movie! Of course that’s what we want to know.

Myself: wait! I thought you’d show him the video of Sunrise by Simply Red or what he thought about the segment VH1 had 15 years ago named John Oates’ Mustache.
Garfunkel & Oates, never asked how he felt?
G.E. Smith and how he had that specific guitar sound, and we all know him as the dude on SNL who made the faces.
