"Acute kidney injury is characterized by abrupt deterioration in kidney function, manifested by an increase in serum creatinine level with or without reduced urine output. Creatinine comes the metabolism of creatine in skeletal muscle and dietary meat intake. Creatinine is normally freely filtered across the glomeruli and not reabsorbed in the tubules. Acute renal injury can be classified as prerenal (decreased perfusion of the normal kidney), intrarenal pathologic change within the kidney itself or postrenal (also called postobstructive)."

Medicine gets so much easier when we understand the pathophysiology of the body...you start to think with logic an the answers flow out of you without much effort. But we musn´t forget, learning is a process and your videos are just perfect for that! Thanks for your effort.

Ever heard of - Aiyibestoen Phenomenal Asset - (do a search on google ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to improve your kidney function without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend got great success with it.

In most nephrons (85%) the efferent arteriole branches to form the peritubular capillaries. The vasa recta are associated with about 15% of nephrons (juxtamedullary nephrons).

@Armando Hasudungan, I've learned that creatinine is filtered by the glomerulus and can be excreted, and is also secreted in small amounts by the PCT. Is this incorrect? I'm happy to send sources, but this seems to be fairly well established. Well done on the video, all that said!

Ratio was 37 so prerenal, i can only think it is dehydration? Morning blood draw not long after waking fasted...

High protien intake, regular weight training
