IH 1466 Ring Gear and Pinion Replace

- If you do wheelies ALL DAY LONG in your 1466, it can be ALOT of fun. But the hard surface on your ring gear and pinion may be getting sparse after a few to many. You could pit a bearing or two also. But don't worry, it's ok.
Lets take a deep dive into the rearend of this IH 1466.

Was this caused by a maintenance issue or just normal wear from lots of hours?
I think in general 1466s got pulled hard and sometimes the results can show in the lack of hard surface on the ring gear and pinions.

Can the outer bull pinion bearings be replaced without taking it out all the way? I like your style. You show and say what needs to be said.
If there's a will there's a way but I would definitely be taking it out all the way.
Is that a blue engine?? Is it a 466 out of a school bus?
