    Just bought a 23 sitting at 215lbs can’t believe how stiff it’s sprung sag set and racetech springs still in the boxes 13 hours on it now in a week. Sweet bike your videos helped with my decision on this one

      Thanks for watching! Yeah, the stock valving is really stiff as well.

    Did all the same mods except battery, clutch and air filter on my wife's 2021. Really want to do the no tool kit but I really like the funnel-web filters and there is no gromet where the screw would go through. Still waiting on the backordered GYTR seat and fan kit though.

      Do no toil!! It’s absolutely surgical and 1/4 the price of others. I have one. Love it!! There is a grommet. It’s sealed.

    Donnie, did you have to do anything special for the hand gaurds? I would assume that the ones you have on your link will fit my 2022? I know you had to modify your crossbar pad but didn't know if you had to drill our the throttle side hole? I watched one video that he said he had to do that.

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the kit has everything you need. The yamaha stock bars have a weird size opening on the ends but the kit has the correct insert. I did modify the bar pad to fit over the clamps with a razor knife and trimmed the bar pad cover to fit as well. I did not need to drill anything, not sure what that is about. I ended up changing out my bars later because I wasn't crazy about the stock bar bend. When changing the bars I installed threaded bar inserts which I prefer over the expanding inserts. You can't use threaded bar inserts with the stock yamaha bars because of the unusually large opening on the bar ends.

    I have a Rekluse Radius CX auto clutch on my 2021 WR250F and a rear brake master cylinder and lever on the left hand side . This is very much an improvement that I cannot over emphasise how good it is to have perfect rear brake control at your fingertips. Australian WR250F come with the map ecu and wifi modules standard and I have been using a Keefer map and a Yamaha power map too with good results with a YZfx muffler.

    Excellent video Donnie, I've been in the market for a bike but haven't landed on anything just yet. I would compete in the C class myself single track conditions mostly. Do you know if the WR 250 is tuned differently than the fx?

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. The US version of the WR250F has a restricted airbox, restricted exhaust and the throttle is limited to 3/8 by a throttle stop screw. You also can't change the ignition and fuel mapping. Of course that can all be undone and opened up. The GYTR ECU is the most expensive part.

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the Keefer Hard Hitting map and rarely change it. No map will solve the issue you're describing. The solution is slipping the clutch when you're at low speeds and low RPMs. Keep a finger on the clutch and think of your left hand as your "go" lever. Use the throttle only to dial in how much power you want. Doing that takes all the jerkiness out.
