    Appreciate and saved. Got some 412 13s on the way for 2008 1200 L I just got. The stock shocks are just scary and painful if I hit a bump in the shadows or one I don't see. Glad to see simple tools and processes.

    I bought a pair of the cheap Chinese shocks off Amazon just to see how they were and man what a difference the bike rode so much better and I’ve had them on for maybe 4 years and no leaks or wear so far really didn’t think they would last long but I was fooled, I swapped out a pair of $600 shocks from my buddy’s bike and to tell you the truth my Chinese shocks rode better

    Did you release the shock all the way to the top with the wrench under the seat, or did u just leave it at its current point set and started wrenching?! I'm wondering about the pressure that it's under on my sporty, I need to replace the belt guard and in doing so, I need to remove the shock

    • @KnobleMoto
      @KnobleMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can leave the preload set. The shock assembly itself is self contained. Just log the back end to where the back wheel is off the ground.

      @@irishguyjg_2ndchancerecovery glad you got it done. We were all new at some point. If you upgraded your rear shocks, you will find that fork spring upgrades are money well spent.

      I think they would work well for you. If you want to know for sure, contact progressive with your weight. They can tell you exactly.
      Honestly, anything is better than the stock shocks.
